Even if the alternate juror had voted to find Jessup guilty, the case would have ended in a mistrial because the jurors saw the TV coverage of Jessup's killing spree. How did you feel about that ending?

Well, since they ended up not having to call it a mistrial since Jessup was dead, it didn't bother me. If the book had ended with a mistrial, I would have been very upset.

I felt bad for Mickey as he didn't get credit for at least getting a guilty verdict. He prosecuted the case very well.

True. And since he didn't get the verdict he wanted, Maggie didn't get moved to a better position as prosecutor.

It was such a lousy outcome.
