The Not a Book Club Club discussion

Sound off if you'll be joining me for The Shadow Throne next week.

I may have to start late depending on when the audio book comes out. It's not currently listed on audible (trying to find out as I type this).

I could also use someone to make the discussion sections (I can create threads if you want) that will have a text copy since I won't have page numbers to work with.

I'm definitely planning on reading it next month, but I'm behind on my reading so I'm not sure if I'll be able to start next WEEK. I preordered it on Kindle, and it says it has real page numbers, so I'd be happy to give you that info or whatever - just let me know.

I will be reading it. Might be a few days late have to finish Prince of Fools and First Lord's Fury first. Just moved so reading is low priority at the moment.

Oh and I was talking to Mr. Wexler about the audiobook and he offered to do another q&a.

He said he would look into it. Audible told me they'd contact the publisher. Haven't heard back from either.

A recorded books site said the eAudio will be available on Tuesday, but that doesn't seem to mean anything.

Well it's not labeled correctly, but it looks to be on audible today after all:

They are calling it book 3 of something called The Ascendance Trilogy instead of Book 2 of Shadow Campaign.

Additionally the Thousand Names isn't listed as book 1 of Shadow Campaign (or any series for that matter).

I'll probably be starting this a week late now.

Is someone able to make discussion threads/give me chapter breakdowns so I can make them?

It looks like it downloaded overnight to my Kindle - I have to head out for a couple of hours, but I'll take a look as soon as I get home and either post a chapter breakdown or try to create threads (which I've never done, so if its not obvious you may just get the info). Audible sounds really mixed up, but I'm glad they have it.

I got them entered - who knew adding topics was so easy!? Now I feel lazy for all the times I have not done that. I'm looking forward to reading this - just have a bit of library book finishing to do first.

Haha. Yeah. It's not bad. Looks like you even set the book subject (which is sadly impossible from mobile as far as I've found).

Thanks a lot. Now I just need to figure out how I'm going to read this. I have way too many things to read right now. 2 books in text and like 4 books in audio.

I was planning to do this in audio, but now I'm wondering if maybe I should just do it in text.

I know what you mean about too many books - I want to read them all! And then I end up feeling behind like I haven't done my "homework". But at least it is fun homework!

Just picked up this one (along with Tower Lord), will start it once I'm done with PoF. Looking forward to getting into it!

I started the audiobook and I love it. Richard Poe is now one of my favorite narrators, he has such an amazing voice, too bad he only narrated so few SFF books.

I don't remember being all that impressed by him in book 1. But I picked up my copy from audible and will be starting tomorrow morning finally.

This is excellent news. Plus he also stated there will be more shorter works as well. One being in the Blackguards anthology.
