Goodness, I'm just not sure! These are my current fun/group/review reads:
I'll finish these for school:
Then I want to get to
. Not sure what else after that! Probably one of the group reads if possible.
Only ONE MORE MONTH until school starts again, so I really need to get my reading game going! Plan is to finish these:
and then read the rest of that series if I'm feeling so inclined, and
, depending which ones come through from the library first :)
I am planning try to finish
and
. I also would not mind starting
in audio,
in audio,
, and
and a few other books in audio. We will see what happens.
Here's my plan for August but moving, unpacking and decorating may not let me get as much accomplished:Currently reading:
Hope to read:
I have 20 books that I am hoping to get through by Liz Isaacson. I have read most of them before, but I want to reread them before reading the newest books continuing the overall series. I'm very excited, I love her work. I am also hoping to completely read through Genesis, not only for myself, but also with my son and daughter. We have recently went to Lifeway and purchased my son's first Bible. He is five and wanted his own now that he has read through multiple Bible story books. I'm excited to begin this new chapter of his life with him.
I also am going to read The Hiding Place: The Triumphant True Story of Corrie Ten Boom by Corrie ten Boom. It seems so inspirational and I am looking forward to learning more about the heroic adventures her and her family endured.
I'm sure that there will be others for my children, they both love to be read too (neither can read yet). I am looking forward to a terrific month.

Classes start next week for me and I'm hoping to still be able to read for fun.Currently, I'm reading
I plan to try to squeeze in
even though I know school might let me get through only half of these...
I'm also eagerly anticipating
I have a couple of secular book club reads and hoping to finish these: (no links since I'm on my phone)Truth Stained Lies by Terri Blackstock
If I Run by Terri Blackstock
Run With the Horses by Eugene Peterson
I also want to read a hidden gem and after that we'll see. Maybe I'll read something by our author of the month.

Susan, I adored Forest Child!
My reading plans for August? I'm hoping to work through the entire Hawthorne House series by Kristi Ann Hunter (http://www.kristiannhunter.com/hawtho...) in preparation for the September release of the final series story, An Inconvenient Beauty. I've read the series before. Loved it! Looking forward to refreshing my memory on the happenings of this family before getting to the Duke's story next month.I'm also awaiting my copy via mail order of Close to You by Kara Isaac, which I plan to read as part of the August Group Buddy Read.
I've finished
and I'm currently reading
. I will also finish
this month, no ifs, ands or buts. Here's what else I'd like to get to this month:
and
(this one will be a reread for me, but it's a really awesome book)
Elizabeth, I LOVED This Quiet Sky. If you're anything like me, though, you will want to have a box of tissues handy. ;)
And I love the fact that you have Jurassic Park on your list. I read it in either the late '90s or early 2000s and don't remember much (I've seen the movies way more than I've read the book, so that's what I remember more), but I recall enjoying it at the time. Hope it's just as wonderful for you this time around!
Reading the 500 Classics Fairy Tales. I've read most of these already, so it's just the Irish fairy tales and any of the Arabian tales I missed.
Beth wrote: "Please share your current reads and reading plans for August here!"My preacher grandson and I have started our own "book club" and we are reading C.S. Lewis's THE DIVORCE to discuss. I'm also reading A BEAUTY SO RARE by Tamera Alexander.

Andrea wrote: "Elizabeth, I LOVED This Quiet Sky. If you're anything like me, though, you will want to have a box of tissues handy. ;)"I'm an emotional reader so I'll have the box ready to go. It's one of my favorite movies as well as books. I'm a dinosaur nerd!
I totally get that. Which of the four Jurassic movies do you like the best? I like them all, but I'm still partial to the original.

I am so enjoying that series! My favorite so far is book two, I believe. But I'm really looking forward to book 4 later this year! :)
Hope you enjoy Close to You as well - glad to hear you'll join in on the buddy read!
Elizabeth wrote: "The first one is my absolute favorite! Although, I like the Lost World a lot too."
Both of those are so great! What did you think of the newest one, Jurassic World? They're making another one! :D I can hardly wait. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard made a great team in JW1, and I think they're teaming up again for JW2.

Two books are planned.

I enjoyed it! I liked the idea of actually getting a park off the ground. Chris Pratt was made to be in a Jurassic Park movie and I always like Bryce Dallas Howard. I'll be there to see the sequel on opening night!
Wasn't he, though? Probably my favorite role of his so far. I love that scene where she (view spoiler) Cracks me up every time! I'll be there opening weekend for sure! Hopefully opening night, but I never know how my schedule will be this far in advance.
