I finished this the other night. Anyone else reading it? Here is my review:

I almost put this down after the first few chapters - it was following the standard YA formula, and then seemed a bit teachy and preachy about the environment, but I'm glad I stayed with it.

Rowan is a hidden second child in Eden. The Earth has been destroyed - by man's misuse of the environment, and then a fatal flaw in the plan to "fix" the atmosphere. But one visionary planned a safe place to wait out the several centuries it would take the Earth to heal - and that is Eden. But the population must be strictly controlled to make it, and only one child per couple is allowed. When Rowan's mother finds out she is carrying twins, she hides that fact and prepares her home to be a hideout for Rowan.

The book turns into a bit of a mystery, which is nice. There is a little bit of the YA love triangle, but with a twist - one is a boy and one is a girl!

I enjoyed it. There will be another book this fall, but this is okay as a stand-alone read.
