Eating a red velvet muffin drizzled with chocolate, reading my e-mail and deciding what to do next at work!Good Morning Lobstergirl!
Good evening, Leshawn.
Reading a NYT article about a fired Google employee. Thinking about dinner, but not all that hard.

Talking to my Mom!Read something uplifting tonight, Lobstergirl!
That's Doctor Leshawn's prescription! :)
Checking e-mail is painful at work because you have to do something after you read it.The truth at home is that you have to sift through lots of stuff looking for one gem. Most of it is detritus, no?
Sometimes personal emails can be just as painful because you have to do something after reading them....
I have separate emails for important personal and relative junk. The important email I never give out if it's going to result in spam.

Carol wrote: "Checking out TC for the first time in a while. Hello, neighbors"Howdy. We're still here!
I'm debating on going to a nature center's fundraiser or hanging out in my backyard. Both have herons.
Carol wrote: "I'm debating on going to a nature center's fundraiser or hanging out in my backyard. Both have herons."It's Sunday afternoon. The answer should be easy. Which place has more refreshments and food?
Have a good time either way!
Right now I'm trying to gear up for the week ahead. Josie starts preschool tomorrow, and since there is a near total eclipse of the sun in KC, we are on a special schedule at my high school. So my lesson plans will be wonky. I need to pack Leah's lunch for tomorrow, and finish doing laundry.
But i just finished reading a really good book and kind of want to continue to lounge around and read a new one.

I was thinking about taking a book to the beach but then it got overcast and it might start raining in 1/2 hour or so. I'm close to finishing my nonfiction book so I'll do it indoors. Making a list of the phone calls I have to make tomorrow and brief notes of what I need to say.
Watching "What Arnold Schwarzenegger's Love Child is Doing Today," on Youtube. Without the sound, though, so I don't completely know what he's doing.

Hmm, can't pick one thing. Kronking when you disturb them, clacking at their parents for food, majestic flight with a funny neck and their feet sticking out, beautiful coloring...
Figuring out a cat pattern for an afghan Christmas present. Written directions make no sense; the video is better.
I'm taking cuttings of favorite plants and rooting them. My little greenhouse collapsed, so I'm just going to let the cold have my tender plants and start over with cuttings next spring. I did that last year, and the cuttings did well in a couple of sunny windows over the winter.
Nursing my finger. Knife mishap. Chopping lettuce with an extremely fine edged Japanese cleaver. Thankfully a glancing blow. Still have all the digits. Nakiri is fine.
Randomly googling someone I used to work with who was newly married. Both now living in separate states, divorced...he became a model in addition to continuing his original career. Weird!
I'm thinking I should prepare tomorrows lunch to take to work. It will mean I can sleep for an extra 15 minutes in the morning.
I bought my last Christmas gift today. Goat's milk soap for my neighbor. Can't do last minute shopping.
