You are born in a city, with a force-field, surrounded by an endless black desert. The force-field is powered by crystals mined by the hole below the grand city, going at least 15 miles below. One day miners went the max way down, and never came back. Now it's getting wider.
The crystals give off a radiation, that mutate the people in the slums, refugee's who were put near the bottom-edge of the city. Giving them magic, sometimes killing them. But when they don't die, they can grow wings, use fire, and become invisible.
Magic is a privilege, seen as by the leaders of the city, as parasites, who soak up the power of the crystals, are hunted down and experimented on. This police force is known as the A.A.M.A.; Act Against Magic Activity.
Why is there a force-field? There are monsters outside, Sonder's. D-class' are nothing more then blobs, getting no larger than a head. Then there are C-class', which are more animal like, all original. B-Class' are human like, but still look like monsters. Very few consume enough humans to become A-class, but they are usually something along the lines of whales, or dragons, awesome giant creatures. Then S-class', who look exactly like a human being.
The A.A.M.A are sent out in military to kill these creatures. When the leaders realized that most go missing when so much as a C-Class appear on the radar, they had to step up their game. Thus creating super Soldiers with crystal liquid in their veins, giving them special abilities, magic, of their own. These are known as, Promethean's.

Personality:Demetrius is a very timid person. He gets scared easily and tends to be jumpy a lot. Since he hides in the darkness a lot, he hasn't really interacted with others, so he's pretty bad with socializing. He tends to become shy and nervous when he does manage to talk to someone who doesn't run away from him. But when someone or something he loves gets hurt, he will get upset and lash out on whoever caused the damage.
