I think the title of this book had the word "Mountain" in it. Something similar to (but not actually) "Crooked Mountain" and was by a female author. A girl who lives with (I believe) her grandparents on a mountain gets pregnant by a migrant worker. At one point she joins the migrant workers and the FOB gets into legal trouble but is cleared. She also works at a diner(?) I think with her best friend. There might have been a hint of clairvoyance or magic in the books too. She at one point gets lost in the woods after a fight with her grandpa and I think animals(Dogs/Wolves) help her? I also vaguely remember weird circumstances regarding her mother. Sorry for this post being a little disheveled!

The Killing Tree by Rachel Keener?
CodyLissa, around what year did you read this book?
What's the genre or tone - romance for young adults (teens) or older adults, romantic, angsty, sad, mystery, adventure, etc.?

That is the book!! You are so awesome for finding it! I don't know why I thought it had "mountain" in the title, haha. Thank you so much Kris!
