Roxanne (radiantrox) | 115 comments New goal is to try to read 10 books a month for the rest of the year.

message 4: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne (radiantrox) | 115 comments So far so good with my 10 books per month goal. I read 10 books last month, ready to get through another 10+ in September.

My most enjoyable book last month was re-reading The Handmaid's Tale. Least enjoyable was Kathy Griffin's second book.

I'm also starting to get into the Harry Potter series, I'm enjoying #2 way more than book #1. Will probably finish this sometime next week.

Roxanne (radiantrox) | 115 comments Fell short of my 10 book per month goal in September (this was a busy work month which cut into my reading time) but am trying to get back on track so I can meet my reading goal for the year.

I really found it hard to push past the author's writing style and finish Life of Pi. I may try to read it again some other time...

I currently can't put The Lovely Bones down!! I just started it yesterday and I'm already almost halfway done with it.

Sounds great, added it to my TBR list!

Awesome! It really is a great book, I love the writing. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I do when you read it.

Roxanne (radiantrox) | 115 comments Just realized I've surpassed my books read last year (31). Still hoping I can surpass my most books read in a year (50 in 2015) and achieve my 2017 goal of 60.

So far October has been a great reading month with 4 books down so far! I want to try to read 7 more before this month is over.

message 9: by Roxanne (last edited Nov 02, 2017 11:48AM) (new)

Roxanne (radiantrox) | 115 comments Surpassed my monthly goal to read 10-11 books in October and read FOURTEEN! I don't know if I've ever read this many books in one month (maybe with the exception of reading in college).

Now to meet my goal for this year, I only have to read 9 books per month. Right now I'm reading a few longer books (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire & Native Son), plus Awaken the Giant Within just got pulled off hold from the library and it's my turn to read it and it's pretty long as well. So 9 books this month may be a challenge, we shall see...

Roxanne (radiantrox) | 115 comments November was an okay reading month. Fell short of 10 books but I'm on track to surpass my maximum yearly goal of 50 books read in 2015 AND if I read 10 books this month I'll be on track to meet my 2017 yearly goal of 60 books.

I'm currently in the middle of reading Dark Matter and it's SO GOOD, really suspenseful and interesting. I'm really curious to see how it all ends...

message 11: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne (radiantrox) | 115 comments I actually accomplished my reading goal for the year!! I read 25 books from my 2017 tbr list and the rest were either random books i found along the way or others that I've been meaning to read (and classics I've been meaning to re-read). I can't wait to start working on reading 100 books for 2018!
