I am watching! Don't make things happen that wouldn't happen to the character, don't make them act in a way they wouldn't. Keep them as what they ARE.

Lustre beamed smugly at her dress. It was sure to attract many, many sponsors, what with the golden fabric, jewelled belt and the hundreds of glittering gems scattered all over the hem of the skirt. Lustre twirled around, the skirt lifting from where it hung.
The horses attatched to the traditional golden chariot were a beautiful gold chesnut with white manes and tails.
"You've really outdone yourself, this time," she told her stylist. "Thank you." A speaker suddenly announced the beginning of the parade. Lustre climbed confidently into her chariot. She was side by side her fellow Career tribute as the doors opened and her chariot lurched forward.
Lustre immediately began to wave and smile at the crowd. "I love you all!" she cried with fake enthusiam, unsure if they would hear her anyway. The crowds went wild as the chariots continued through the middle. Lustre surprisingly laughed at the atmosphere. She decided to use it and laughed harder while still waving excitedly. She was sure to be granted sponsors now.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the beautiful, the stunning...Lustre Vinpointe from District One!"
Lustre flounced onto the stage, her breath-taking dress swooshing around her feet. She grinned at the crowd, giggling a little, and gave them a small, girly wave. A few even waved back. Lustre took a seat on one of the white bowl chairs next to Caesar Flickerman, the interviewer. His hair was dyed bright yellow this year, which made him look quite unnattractive. But Lustre didn't care.
"Hello Caesar! Hello Capitol!" she cried.
Caesar smiled. "Hello, Lustre. What a charming personality! Am I right, folks?" The crowd cheered and whooped. "And what a marvellous dress! Such beauty and splendour!" Again the crowd cheered.
Lustre laughed. "Thank so much. I do look splendid, don't I?"
"You sure do. Now let's get down to business. Are you excited for this year's games?"
Lustre hesitated. "Definitely. I'm proud, confident and ready to fight!"
"Wonderful! Do you think you'll win?"
"Hell yeah! Every other tribute out there better watch out 'cause I'll be dominating in that arena!"
"I bet you will," Caesar agreed. "So, what are your strategies this year?"
"I can't tell you all of them, but they involve killing off every single tribute in that arena!"
"My my, you're vicious! What do you think, folks? Is she worthy to sponsor?"
The crowd went wild, cheering, whooping, crying out Lustre's name. She gave Caesar a grateful smile.
"Now, did you enjoy life back in One?"
Lustre sighed. "A little. My father was always drinking and abusing. He made life really miserable after..."
"After what, Lustre?" Caesar urged, a sympathetic look on his face.
"After...after my mother...passed away." Lustre lowered her head, listening the 'awws' from the crowd. "My father, he...murdered her...unintenionally though."
Caesar patted her shoulder. "I'm so sorry, Lustre. That must have been so hard."
Lustre nodded, wiping tears from her eyes. "Thank you for understaning, Caesar."
Your welcome, Lustre. Now, I think our time is up. Everyone give an enormous hand to our first tribute, Lustre Vinpointe!"
Caesar lifted Lustre to her feet and lifted her hand into the air. The crowd went crazy. Lustre sniffed and forced a happy smile to her sorrowful face. She walked off the stage, pleased with her performance.

Alise stepped delicately into the chariot, looking at her dress happily. It was beautiful. As the chariot rolled out, she waved to the cheering crowds, catching the many tokens they threw - flowers in many, many colours, coins, handkerchieves even. One person even threw a ring, adorned by precious gems. She caught it and slipped it onto her finger. The crowd cheered louder than before, until finally the chariot ride ended.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Miss Alise Page from District Four to the stage!"
Alise stepped onto the stage slowly, waiting for the gasps to finish. When they did, she twirled, and the gown flashed white and cream. She sat, allowing the cheers and gasps and amazed sounds to echo through the room.
"My, my, Alise. What wonders has your stylist worked today?" Caesar commented.
"Oh, just his usual magic," Alise said cheerfully. "The wonders they work!"
"Yes, they're magnificent, aren't they? Now, to what we're all waiting to hear! What's your strategy for these games, Alise?" Caesar enquired.
"Drop out of a tree on each and every one of them," Alise explained earnestly. The crowd roared with laughter. "I'd tell you, but they might be eavesdropping, and w wouldn't want that, would we?" she cried, wagging her finger like the crowd were a group of naughty schoolchildren.
"So, are you excited then, Alise?"
"How could I not be?" Alise asked, leaning forward in her chair, speaking directly to the audience.
"Well, well. We have ourselves an enthusiast! Is there anyone back home... or here... that you're fighting for?"
Alise paused, thinking.
"Perhaps, or perhaps not," she mused. "Either way, I'm in this for Panem's glory!" The crowd roared, then stopped, puzzled at what she had said. They shrugged as one, and continued cheering for Alise.
Caesar lifted Alise's hand, and together they bowed to the roaring, cheering, ecstatic crowd. "A round of applause for Alise Page, our amazing fisher girl!" he cried, as Alise skipped off stage. Flowers were thrown, even a second ring, and she caught it, placing it beside the other one on her right hand.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
