Rosemary is running away from a mysterious past and joins the crew of the Wayfarer, a small ragtag bunch of humans and aliens who tunnel wormholes through space. They land a big contract that will pay an enormous amount, but it will be dangerous as they have to deal with a fanatically warmongering species.

Space opera at its finest! I loved this book, its characters and its interesting world. Reminiscent of Firefly (one of the best TV series ever), especially with the character of the ship's engineer Kizzy and the ship patched together with duct tape and baling wire, nevertheless it's enough its own creation to make me happy about discovering a new universe. The real pleasure here (much like with Firefly) is the characters and the relationships they form. I am definitely looking forward to the next book!
