I've been searching for hours and I can't seem to find any books that are published by a small or independent press publisher. Can anyone help me out and give me a few YA contemporary books that have been published by one so I have more chance of finding and reading one before The Reading Quest ends?

I couldn't really find anything either, not sure if this will help, but I started looking at self-published books. I got The Cherry on Top by Arielle Hudson (who also has a book blog and is here on goodreads (: ) on my kindle, and some youtubers I'm sure have published some themselves. You might find something here http://www.yabookscentral.com. They have a section for Indies at the top to search under and I saw some YA contemporaries listed there.

I read Serpentine by Cindy Pon, but it was not a YA Contemporary. But it was available on Hoopla which is through the library so I could read it for free without paying for it.

The Only Girl in China by Eric Qiao, Starswept by Mary Fan, 20 by Vatsal Surti, Karina's Silver Shoes by Denise Marques Leitao, or Girl Without a Face by Medeia Sharif.
