I nominate The Path of the Child by Sojourner McConnell. If I knew how to put a picture of the cover up I would.

If you click that and do a search for the book, you can add it either as a text link or a cover link to your comment.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling. It would've been more appropriate to read this in September but it's never too late.

Hi Edna, the rules state clearly "One nomination per person".
No doubt there is another thread where you can recommend favourites, f.e. in the General folder: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...
And of course you can start your own thread there.

Hi,
As lethe says, it's one nomination per person. Do you want to pick just one of these?
Hi, I don't know how to use the add author button. I nominate The Hour of the Star by Clarice Lispector
Clarice Lispector is a Brazilian author from Modern literature. This book is considered to be her most mature work where, through ordinary lives she takes the reader into the narrator mind, who loves the ugly main character, passing around all his anguish and philosophical thoughts whilst describing all the mundane activities of the characters.

Right above the comment box, click on "add book/author", select which you want to add, use the search feature and select "add."
Girl awake Out Of. A Bar by Lisa Smith is a memoir of a successful lawyer who hides her addiction until her health becomes compromised.
Do you mean Girl Walks Out of a Bar: A Memoir?I will assume so unless you confirm otherwise.

It's an Open Choice month so any book in any genre, the only rule is that it must be written by a woman.
Criteria:
1. Book must be by a female author (transwomen and women using male pseudonyms are women)..
2. No books that have already been group reads (see our list of previous reads)
3. You cannot nominate your own book.
How to Nominate:
1. Give both the title of the book and the author's name when nominating to avoid mix-ups. Title only nominations will be ignored
2. Please use the 'add book/author' button when nominating - otherwise it becomes hard to distinguish and in a long thread your nomination may be missed.
3. Try to avoid using this thread for chatter as it makes it very hard to locate what are actual nominations and what is just discussion.
5. One nomination per person.
Nominations will close on the 11 September when the Poll will go up
