THOUGHTS ON CHRISTINA AND FOUR SHIP?

***Spoilers***At the end of Allegiant, they do form a bond - understandably since they both went through alot of really hard things (alot of the same things) and lost alot of people they loved, including their romantic partners. And they both lost Tris.
But there's no indication that they're dating or thinking romantically at all at the end of the book.
I do think that there's a possibility there. And really, would you want Four to be miserable and alone for the rest of his life because Tris is gone?
I don't know if their personalities would be compatible, but they do have a very unique bond that makes them the most likely candidates(at the point we leave them in the book) for each other to end up with.
Personally I felt like they had more of a sibling bond than anything else though.
I think I read somewhere (here?) that Veronica Roth said she envisioned Four and Christina getting together later on in life. Not at the time at the end of the book, but maybe some years later. I think that's the stupidest idea ever. And no, I don't want Four to be alone forever just because he can't be with Tris. I want him to remember her and move on and find someone else to make him happy, because the one thing he deserves is to be happy. I imagine he will mourn Tris for a good while, and maybe five years on he will start to "get back in the game" and settle down for good several years after that. In my head, Four gets married when he's about 30. But not to Tris's best friend. That's just messed up. I know things like that happen in real life all the time, but I can't imagine it with these two. At the most, the absolute most, they might do that thing where they have a moment of confusion where they think there might be something more underneath the friendship, but as soon as they kiss they realize "Nope, not gonna work" and go back to being best friends.
i think that there's a life that has to go on after Tris dies - so i think that it's something that you could see happening. think about how in real life when best freinds/lovers die - that the folks remaining find a way to get through it and inevitably they end up together usually. that doesn't mean that i'd root for them to get together, but i think that it's nice that they are there for each other in the end since they can pay homage to Tris' life. i don't want to see Four alone forever - so i think that as long as there was nothing to it while Tris was live, then i'm ok with it after she's gone. (i.e. as long as we continue to agree that Christina didn't want Four while Tris was alive which we know she didn't).
I think that Tobias would never date Tris' bestfriend.. and I've never thought about them in that way, it just seems so weird and wrong to me.
I don't ship it romantically, only as a special friendship. Tobias says so himself, they somehow became best friends and that's understandable given how many of their loved/friends ones they both lost.
I didn't see any romantic indications in the end of the book and I don't really like them as a couple.
I definitely did n't feel any sort of romantic attraction or feeling whatsoever. And honestly, I feel like my insides weigh a ton, the heavy metal twisting and turning and it's just a nauseous ache whenever I think of Tobias with anyone else. Which is selfish and unrealistic. Ofcourse 4 will never love again like he once did, but as human beings who crave interaction, I guess he will move on. Just not with Christina. Not just because it's a revolting, inept concept, but simply because it's a nonexistent one.
Different kinds of relationships exist and it's so cliche to always succumb to interlinking people together only with a romantic bond.
That's one aspect about Divergent which I like, it show cases so many different facets to relationships. Friends. Enemies. Familial. Lovers. Each has such a different but potent weight behind them.
Uhm.. I don't know, I'm sure my opinion's all dumb and all, but I just hate the idea of Four with anyone he knew while he was with Tris- especially Christina since she was her best friend. I'd love for him to be happy and move on, but with someone he'd meet in his new life. Him being with Christina or that flirty chick in Allegiant just doesn't seem right.
I don't think that happening would be so cool...
I like them how they were throughout the book: as friends. IMO, it would be kind of unnatural for them to suddenly be "together" since the people they were formerly with are dead.
I would not like them to be romantic; the book indicates they are only close friends that keep one another sane. I do not want either alone for the rest of their lives either, just not together in a romance. They are most likely one another's pillars of strength in their sorrow.
My feelings for Christina and Four NOT being together are so strong I can't even phrase it. NO NO NO. They can be friends, but not be together. I think both of them need a fresh start and need to meet new people.

from what i read in the epilog, i only think of them as a good friends, not more. i don't find any romantic feeling tho.but if four will start a new relationship again, i hope it's not with christina. not because i hate her, but i just can't imagine it.
The gif above accurately captures my feelings on this. I mean, sure I don't want Tobias to be sad and alone forever, but in a relationship with Christina? No. Maybe Cara. Has anyone else considered that? I don't necessarily ship it, but if he must end up with someone we already know, I'd rather it be her than Christina.Plus, when I read the epilogue, I do believe I caught some flirting between Mathew and Christina. Them, I do ship. Hard. It just works out so perfectly! Mathew had a GD girlfriend before, so he is obviously not opposed to the idea of having a girlfriend who has messed up genes (sorry Christina). And Christina obviously has a thing for Erudite/former Erudite guys which Mathew would totally be if he were in the faction system (referring to Will and Nando here. No one remembers Nando but that's okay. I do. )And maybe now that no one is fighting Mathew can flirt and not be caught in the death trap that was formerly known as flirting with Christina. HE WILL LIVE
Christina and Mathew are my Post-Allegiant ship. Tobias can go date whoever he wants as long as it isn't her. Or he can remain happily single. Or he can be sad and alone forever. Whatever. Mathew+Christina <3

Sigh. The fangirl epidemic is we have a compulsive itch to SHIP . we ship the good, the fantastic, the inappropriate, the dastardly, the incomprehensible . We could make the ship of The Cookie Monster x SpongeBob seem Canon AF. Also? Nothing more that we love than a tragic backstory lol. It's a big giant ARE-YOU-INSANE- no for me. Just. NO. NO NO NO.
But you know, even the most sunken ships still have their people so meh
I HATE IT. I mean I love Christina and Four so much, but they just don't belong. I mean they could have stuck in the friend zone. MY SHIP HAS BEEN SUNKEN.

My initial reaction when I first saw the title of this discussion was somewhere along the lines of 'Christina and Four! Where the hell are they getting that idea from!?' but then I remembered that scene with Christina and Four at the end of the book after... stuff happened (if you've read the book you know what stuff I'm talking about) and realized they did kind of have a brief heart-to-heart moment. But I agree with Luna. I too shall fourever ship Tris and Four.
*SPOILERS*eww ewww ewww... just NO! how!? i mean lets take our minds back to christina and four's first interaction VS Tris and Fours first interaction... i mean its kind of obvious who the better couple is. I feel like its a real insult to Tris's memory and they do get together in we can be mended!!! i mean i understand how they can bond over grief but i feel its forced and disrespectful. I never really liked Christina and this doesn't help...
Christina and four can not be together.That would be a total disrespect to Tris, if I were four, I would be left alone and would not be Christina's or Nita's boyfriend.
In addition, we are all very saddened by the death of Tris, as she sacrificed herself for her ungrateful brother Caleb

they do get to together in we can be mended and i still haven't forgiven Veronica Roth for it! I do not like the thought of them being a couple and it feels wrong, they aren't compatible and Christina is a bit of a spoiled brat (no offense fans of her) she wasnt there for Tris when she really needed her and now she takes the love of Tris's life! It might be some sort of revenge for killing Will, but i doubt it XD

And I promise, I did try to look at it carefully and sensibly as it is understandable that Four will eventually find another partner in life given his young age, but really NOT Christina.For me it would have been better if she killed Four as well!!!
Not only I still have not come to terms to how Roth ended Allegiant, I am absolutely not mended from this epilogue, it actually broke me again!!!

ABSOLUTLEY NOT. Four and Tris had an unmistakable bond... It just wouldn't make sense for him to get over it so quick and then get with her best friend... I don't see him ever truly loving Christina because I feel like any other girl after Tris would just be compared back to her, and none will meet the criteria that she did. She was special, one of a kind, and so was their bond.

No. I read we can be mended and there kissing scene just makes me uncomfortable like when in four and Tobias was gonna kiss Tris it was a whole thing that he is not good with girls but he gonna kiss her anyway but with Christina the just don’t have that.
P.S Zeke and Shauna trying for a baby was the cutest thing ever
I don’t think so either, they both have a sibling like relationship. They support each other after losing Tris and others.

Yes Four should've been miserable for the rest of his life! It just seems so wrong to picture him with anyone else. Like he will NEVER have anything close to what he had with Tris ever again. Like he noticed her years before they ever actually met.
Me personally I think it would have been better if he did suicide or something. Or maybe Four dies and Tris does suicide to be with him.
Them doing suicide would've shown how much they loved each other. Also what happened to the "You die, I die" scene from insurgent? And yes Four or Tris doing suicide for one another would be sad for a bit, but I think I would be easier to get over.
And when Four and Christina get together Tris is probably crying in heaven or wherever good people go after death. I'm just going to live in my little bubble of denial and pretend no one died and Four and Tris are living happily ever after with their 3 kids.

why is there even an epilogue called 'we can be mended' like no the readers will not mend after tobias and christina like what is this? i would have liked it better if will and tris were alive and then like tobias and christina died first like i never liked her THAT much and will was lwk better than tobias cuz he was wayy more supportive and stable like tris and will didn't need to be a romantic couple but why they both die like that is crazy why do the worst characters survive will did NOT deserve that and tobias is like nothing without tris everyone liked him cuz tris liked him or no one would have payed attention to lil side character tobias. his character isn't even that good (yes i'm just a hater)

............Big Spoilers............ I’m sorry, but google spoiled it for me too........ How dare you four! You are the best character and then you betray us! I also still love you, but Christina?! Come on! I just read the divergent series and loved it by the way! And yes I just started and I’m late to the game. But I finish Allegiant and I’m heart broken of course. I know I’m a monster, but I didn’t cry for tris I cried for Tobias cause they planned there life together and needed sometime to act like normal people they had to live one more day. But NO tris had to suddenly be all selfless and save her awful brother. And did she care how it would affect four no not really! Four comes back and she is dead! Poor guy, his mom just picked him he was all excited his life was great, for about 10 seconds. So I finish the book and I read We Can Be Mended thinking yeah I could go for some mending right about now. I get to the end and my heart is torn out and Christina stomped all over it. I would have been happier if Four just moved on and never got married, but NO he went and married and not only did he get married he married Christina! Of all the people! Ugh I’m just so mad and so sad. Why... Tobias... why?
