Fae strolled through the courtyard, her eyes locked onto the anatomy textbook that was resting in her delicate hands. She'd aced the Anatomy test today, but she was still curious about the oxygen transfer taking place in the vascular system of the human body. She was re-reading the chapter in hopes of finding some piece of information that she had missed. Her curiosity made her long to understand the process completely. How exactly did it happen? Her mind raced as she filled it with even more medical information. She doubted that her thirst for knowledge would ever be filled, but she had to at least try. Right?

"Hey what's up? I'm Claire." She says.
Just when she was getting to, what she views as, the climax of the passage a girl's voice pierced through her focus. Turning her head, she saw a girl approaching her with red hair that she immediately envied. It was gorgeous in her opinion and ever since she was a child she'd always wanted red hair. It was an odd obsession that still hadn't gone away. "Hi. I'm Fae." She said, her voice much quieter than the girls'. "I'm just.....reading." She said, gesturing towards the open book in her hands.

"This hair can be good and bad. You should see it when I wake up it's like it never gets brushed." Claire tell her laughing slightly.
Fae's hazel eyes locked with Claire's as she heard her question. It was interesting to meet someone who was actually interested in what she was doing. Typically people approached her with something they wanted to ask her already in mind, but this girl seemed genuine and she couldn't help but return her smile. "Just some stuff about the Vascular System. It's fascinating." She explained, a twinkle in her eyes as she spoke about what she loved. Laughing along with the girl, she nodded. "I can only imagine, but I've always wanted red hair." She said, shrugging.

"Vascular System? Sounds very cool. Mind telling me a little about it?" She asks. Then she realizes how she is acting by asking all these questions.
"I'm sorry for interrupting you. Um, I just really curious and...yeah." Claire says slowly.
Fae's smile grew when the girl told her that he hair was pretty. It wasn't too often that she was complimented on her looks and it touched her heart that the girl was being so kind. "Thank you, I really like yours too and I would gladly trade." She chuckled lightly along with the kind girl she'd just met. "Well.... What do you want to know about it?" She asked, knowing she couldn't explain the entire Vascular System to her at the moment. Seeing the girl apologize, her heart wrenched in her chest. She hated making people feel uncomfortable or unwelcome around her. "No no! It's fine. You're not interrupting me." She promised, giving her a pleading look.

"I'm not quite sure really what I want to know. Honestly I just realized you liked it so I thought I could make a conversation from it. Obviously I failed." Claire tells her. She shakes her head wanting to laugh at herself again.
Fae smiled, seeing as she'd put the girl at ease. "Really, it's not problem. Here, let's sit down." She said, taking a seat on the edge of the beautiful fountain that decorated the courtyard. "Well, we can talk about whatever you want really. I don't want to bore you with medical talk." She said, brushing a strand of her brown hair behind her ear. Her hair was constantly falling out of the pony tails and buns that she tried to put it in. Put of the way, but till stylish was what she tried to go for but sometimes she failed miserably.

"Whenever my hair gets in the way I put it up in this braided bun. It stays out of the way then." Claire tells her. She quickly shows her with her own hair and smiles when finished.
"See?" She asks her.
Fae watched intently as the girl taught her a gorgeous braided bun. Following each step as best as she can, her brunette hair was finally out of the way. Letting a sigh of relief escape her, a smile spread across her lips. "Thank you, it can get so hard to manage sometimes." She giggled, finally relieved to not be bothered with her hair. "So why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself?" She asked, curious about this kind and intriguing girl.

"Well I'm 17 years old. I live with my grandparents since my parents died in a crash." Claire responds smoothly. As if her first moment of hesitation never even occurred. Claire smiles at the girl when she was finished talking. At least the part about my parents being dead is true. Claire thinks to herself. This girl was pretty nice to Claire. She felt bad for having to lie to her.
Fae waited patiently for the girls answer. Not paying much attention to the long pause between the question and her answer, she listened intently when the girl spoke. "Oh, Claire. I'm so sorry to hear that. I lost my mother too a few years ago." She responded and upon seeing her smile, she smiled too. "You seem like a very happy person Claire. I admire that." She said, loving her happy attitude. It was hard to look on the bright side sometimes, but this girl seemed to have no problem with it.

"Yeah, it's tough losing someone." She says finally changing the subject.
Nodding along as she spoke, she couldn't help but look up to the girl for her attitude about everything. "That's amazing really, Claire." She commended, sure to keep eye contact with the girl. Eye contact was key when gaining someone's trust and that's what Fae wanted to do. Maybe she could actually have a really friend? Someone who didn't just rely on her? That would be like a dream to her. "It is tough." She said, knowing how the girl felt. "So anyways, let's talk about something else. How are your classes?" She asked, hoping that would lighten the mood.

"Uh, well I got lost a lot so I kinda got barely any class time. But they are going good so far. Well that part I've been there to witness. Haha, I'll be fine though. There is always tomorrow." Claire responds. She stared at the girl wondering if you could really trust this girl. Claire opened her mouth then closed it. She shook her head unsure. She put her head down totally confused to what she should say next.
"Life is just very confusing right now. And I'm just trying to fit in the best I can. I'm a little different then some people at this school." She says.
Fae set her Anatomy text book down next to her, focusing on everything that Claire was saying to her. "I got lost a lot when I first started here. I was always wandering around and ending up in the wrong classrooms." She giggled, remembering how awful her first week had been. That was far in the last now, she knew the campus probably better than anyone now. When Claire put her head down, she was immediately saddened. "Hey, it's okay. We're all a little different." She said, trying to comfort her.

"Oh you have no idea..." She mutters. Claire shakes off her mood then and looks up with a smile on her face again. She couldn't blow her cover just because she found a nice girl. Claire expression masked over trying to keep all her secrets safe and locked up never to be shared.
"Yes, I walked into the wrong class a couple times. I got laughed at but it didn't really bother me. I laughed along with them. People would have to do a lot to really upset me." Claire explains. She shrugs.
"So what about you? Tell me about you." She says.
Fae heard Claire laughing and was rather confused, but she didn't bring any attention to it. Her smile made her focus back in on what she was saying, relating her experience for today. "Yeah, laughing really is the best medicine sometimes." She chuckled, remembering how her mother had always told her that. "Me? Well, I'm really into the field of medicine. I'm actually trying to make that my career. Reading is something I spend a lot of time doing, just trying to further my knowledge." She said, expressing her passion in a soft and gentle tone.

"Yeah, sometimes you either have the choice to laugh or cry. And I usually just pick laugh." Claire tells her with a smile. Claire was pretty joyful and excited about meeting Fae. And that's when she caught her breath. She looked down at her hands which started to get the tingling feeling. She knew with her mood swing it would activate her powers. She jumped up shoving her hands in her pockets looking around nervously.
"Yeah, you've got plenty of time to decide. I'm just one of those weird kids who has their whole life planned out." She laughed, realizing how odd it must seem for someone who isn't even a legal adult yet to have her future so firmly set. "That's probably for the best." She said with a smile, admiring her ability to laugh instead of cry. Suddenly, the girl jumped up and Fae jumped a little bit too, almost falling back into the fountain. She looked around frantically, wondering what had scared the girl. "What's wrong? What is it?" She asked, freaking out because of her reaction.

Claire felt her own body drawing energy from the one source it had. Fae. She backed away. Claire shook her head.
"Not here, not now, why?!" She screams frustrated. Claire looks at Fae apologetically and shakes her head.
"I'm really sorry. Ok just get ready to feel some dizziness but don't close your eyes. Understand. Don't close your eyes." She tells her sternly. Claire clenched her eyes as her hands shook with energy. She knew she was gonna blow soon. Claire just lifted her hands to the sky right in time as a huge blast of energy left her fingertips.
Fae sat quietly, just like always, as she waited for Claire to explain what was wrong. Suddenly though Claire started screaming and then told her that she was going to feel dizzy. She said something about not closing her eyes or something, but she didn't pay it much attention. What was she talking about anyway? As if on cue, she started feeling....funny. Her body felt weak and she felt extremely dizzy and just plum exhausted. "I....i.....don't feel so good." She managed, a yawn escaping her as her eyes threatened to close. She'd seem the huge energy blast leaving Claire's body but wasn't really focused on that right now. She was focused on why she was feeling so drowsy.

"Ok take a deep breath. Keep your eyes open and just remain calm and normal ok? You need water. Ok this will sound weird but if you don't want to go into a coma drink some water from the fountain please." Claire says. She puts a hand to her forehead.
"This can't be happening. To the one friend I had." She snaps under her breath.
Fae slumped over slightly, wanting more than anything to go to sleep. Something though was telling her not to. She got a bad feeling about it and decided against it, but with every passing moment it was getting more difficult to stay awake. Claire's reassuring voice came to her once again and she listened. Every word she said confused her, but she nodded slightly. Reaching down into the fountain, just about to get some water, her body relaxed completely. She fell forward, into the cool water of the fountain, her eyes slipping shut.

Claire cursed loudly. She hurried and pull Fae from the water. She sat her down in the grass. Claire shook Fae.
"Wake up! Hurry before your mind shuts down completely. Fae please just wake up open your eyes and I'll make you better again." Claire pleads. Claire shook her head and whispered to herself. Then she got an idea. Claire pulled energy from the sunlight. She looked down at Fae.
"Hope it works." She says. Claire transferred the sun's energy to Fae. Then she sat back and waited to see what will happen.
Fae didn't really understand what was happening to her. She just knew how tired she was, her mind not fully processing anything else. She barely felt the cool water that quickly surrounded her as she fell into the fountain. She didn't feel Claire pulling her out at all and her voice sounded distant as she begged her to wake up, but it seemed impossible. Her mind wanted to sleep, not wake up. Suddenly, it felt like a bolt of electricity had been sent through her body. She sat up quickly, gasping as her eyes opening wide with alarm. What had just happened? Coughing up some of the water she'd swallowed, she tried to understand everything she had just seen.

"Goodness you scared me half to death. I told you not to close your eyes." Claire's says laughing slightly. She looked back up at Fae dining again relieved.
Fae heard her question and simply nodded slowly. She was still tired, just not in a dire kind of way. She accepted Claire's hug with her arms limp at her side, unable to will them to move at the moment. Leaning her head against Claire's shoulder, she laughed softly at what she said. "I was just so tired." She explained, yawning again. "I-I need to sleep..." She murmured, her words slurring slightly.

Claire sighs and shakes her head.
"The fun of being me." She mutters bitterly.
Fae pulled away from Claire, nodding as she told her that she could sleep. "L-let me just....get to m-my room." She mumbled, getting to her feet slowly. Stumbling around a little bit, she smacked right into a tree, falling back down and landing on her side. A groan escaped her lips as her head spun and she tried to get up again. She was never this clumsy. What was the deal?

"Let's not go walking around quite yet. I think you are a little dazed still. Um, just sit here for right now. I get you to your room as soon as I can ok?" She asks her nicely. Claire sighs and sits next to Fae still angry on how she caused this.
Fae felt herself being sat up and kept from falling over again. She swayed back and forth gently as she kept her eyes as wide open as possible. "Okay." She murmured softly, still feeling a little funny. "How did you do that?" She asked, making odd gestures with her hands as she tried to reenact what she'd seen Claire doing....whatever it was she did. Honestly, she wasn't afraid. She was just crazy curious. Anything that wasn't normal was especially fascinating to her.

"Well I tried to tell you that I was different. I guess I didn't correctly show you what I could do. Um...wait! Will you tell people about me?! Because I seriously really can't ley you do that. Then the people will take me away again." Claire pleads Fae. Claire was very fearful now of what Fae will do. And she couldn't let Fae tell people about her. The scientists will find her then.
Fae stared at Claire, suddenly wondering if she was even human at all. Hearing the panic in her voice, she knew that she couldn't tell anyone about what she'd seen. Nobody would believe her anyway. "No, I won't tell anybody.... Who is going to take you away?" She asked, suddenly concerned for Claire's safety. Was somebody following her or hurting her? Fae would have something to say about that....

""I don't even think I can tell you. This day has gone completely wrong. I'm sorry I dragged you into this." She tells Fae. Claire was boiling with anger inside on how she failed keeping her own secret.

Looks great! Haha maybe you can have him walk in on this situation it would be pretty funny to see the reaction))
The drowsiness slowly faded, leaving her with just the desire to rest or take a nap. Getting to her feet once again, she looked Claire in the eyes. "Don't apologize. Obviously, you need to see a doctor. Why don't you come to my room? I've got plenty of training and experience. I could take a look at you." She offered, not realizing that the girl wasn't sick.

"Trust me it's not sickness, oh don't I wish it was that. No I'm completely fine just different in a way. How about you? You are the one who passed out. Are you feeling ok now?" She asks her quickly.
Still slightly confused, she simply nodded and thought about how she could best answer this girls' questions. "I'm.....alright. I'm still kind of tired and my muscles hurt." She explained, not sure what was wrong with her exactly. She felt fine right before Claire had jumped up and then suddenly she was practically sleep walking around the courtyard. It was an extremely odd day, for sure.

"Good, you'll be fine. Again sorry. And it will start to fade away soon. Don't worry." Claire tells her trying to be encouraging.
Fae smiled back at the girl, giving her a goofy and crooked looking grin. She felt like she'd just come home from the dentist, all loopy and drowsy from laughing gas but it was obviously fading and she started to head back to her dorm. She was in dire need of a nap and she was determined to have one. "I'm going to go lay down..." She murmured, grabbing her textbook from the fountain and crossing the courtyard. She wanted to understand why the girl was so much different than she was, but it seemed like sleep was more important at the moment. "It's fine. I'm...I'm finnee." She yawned, drawing out the word in her state of exhaustion. She waved at Claire over her shoulder, ready to get back to her room and fall into a deep slumber.

"I'm very sorry!" She calls again. Claire wanted to stay with her. She was her only friend right now. She looked down at her hands.
((Should she come after her?))
Fae continued on her merry way, forgetting everything that she had to do that afternoon and acting like she didn't have a care in the world. She hummed slightly and when she heard the girl calling out that she was sorry, she only laughed. "You need to lighten up." She called back, giggling and swaying slightly as she walked. Acting like she's just been given a relaxing medication, she took slow and uneven steps toward the Northwest corner of the campus.
