Some choose to grow their own food instead of risking leaving camp to get some.

Legend walked around the edge of the fields, his shoes padding softly on the tall grass. His brother, Eri, followed close behind, still nervous about coming outside so late in the night. The sky was dark and cloudless. A crescent moon hung in the sky, illuminating parts of their path. Legend let his pale hand brush through the fieldwork at his side, the rough crop scraping against his skin. He knew it probably want the best idea to come outside when it was practically midnight, but neither of them could sleep. As far as either of them knew, everyone else at camp was asleep, so they wouldn't get caught. Besides, they hadn't been to this part of camp before, and Legend found worth exploring. A cold wind blew across the ground, making Eri shiver slightly, wishing he'd brought some sort of jacket with him. He didn't really want to go outside at this time of night, but his brother left before he could stop him. And Eri knew that if he let him go out alone, he would manage to get into some sort of trouble.

((Give me a few minutes. I have to clean my kitchen :P))

Legend kept walking forward. He looked up at the sky. There were no stars, just the moon. He found it beautiful, in a way. His thoughts were interrupted when his foot caught on something and he tripped, falling on the ground. He managed to put his arms out in front of him fast enough, so he wasn't hurt. "Legend." Eri hissed in a tone that said he did something wrong. Though he expected a little more concern from his own brother instead getting scolded, he sent his gaze to whatever had made him fall over. His eyes met a girl with long brown hair and bright blue eyes. She was also kind of short, but Legend supposed that he couldn't really say anything, since he was even shorter.

((Sorry, something happened with my internet connection. And you know he tripped over her, right? XD))

"Hi." Legend chirped at the girl. He stood up, brushing stray strands of grass off of his clothing. Eri rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "He's sorry." Eri said, apologizing for his brother. Legend put his hands on his hips and glared at his brother. "I was going to say that. You just didn't give me the chance." Legend let a smile creep onto his face as he grumbled, "You never do." Legend turned to the girl. "I'm sorry that you made me trip."

Eri smacked Legend's shoulder lightly and shook his head. Sometimes, he just couldn't understand Legend. His twin was eccentric, though, that was for sure. From the tall grass and thick crops that stood next to him, he could here the sound of crickets. Fireflies floated into the field of his vision, lighting on and off. Eri looked down at his hands and picked at threads on the ends of his sleeves. The fabric was soft under his hands and warmed his skin, though it wasn't full protection from the cold that surrounded him.

((Sorry! My mother practically forced me out of the house. I'm back, and hopefully for the next few hours.))

Legend pointed back to to the camp that was a little ways behind them. "The camp over there." He said, answering her question. "And I'm Legend." He continued, introducing himself with a small smile. Eri shoved his hands into his pockets. "Eri." He muttered his own answer shortly. He ran a hand through his black hair, his fingers catching in a few knots. He let his hand fall limply back at his side. Eri wondered what time it was. He could never seem to find any kind of clock throughout the camp, for some reason. He didn't own a watch, and could never gather up the confidence to ask someone else the time.

Legend shrugged and Eri rolled his eyes again. "Couldn't sleep." Legend murmured, shoving his hands into his pockets. "I'm only out here because he wanted me to come." Eri answered with a small sigh. He breathed in the fresh clean air and stretched his arms above his head. He sort of wished he were back at the camp. It was cold, and he had a strange dislike for the outdoors, unlike his excitable brother.

June walked gingerly, not wanting to limp, but she couldn't help the small limp that edged its way into her step. She breathed in deeply, enjoying the familiar smells of the Fields.

Will follows close behind to make sure she doesn't hurt herself.

She held her hand out to let it brush against the heads of the long grass and wheat, smiling slightly as memories from her childhood came and went... then she frowned as her thoughts returned to the present.

Will watches her with concern.

June watches the sky as the familiar paths trace under her feet. She clasped her hands behind her back, not sure what to do with them.

He wonders what she's thinking about- why she had to come here.

June's shoulder muscles tensed as the hair on the back of her neck stood up, "If you could quit staring," she growled, "then I could at least attempt to organize my thoughts before deciding whether or not to break your nose again."

"Sorry." he mumbles and looks elsewhere but doesn't move.

She rolled her shoulders, attempting to release the knots as she stopped walking. June took a few deep breaths, then looked out across the fields to the forest that met the edge.

He watches her on occasion still trying to figure it out.

June shook out her arms, fighting memories in the many thoughts that whirled around in her head. She growled to herself as a particular memory surfaced, shaking her head, she dismissed it.

"June are you sure you should be out here." he says cautiously.

"I have to face things sooner or later, Will. I'd prefer to face them now... the only problem about now is that I'm falling apart," June said, sounding defeated.

Will steps closer and puts one arm around her shoulders to steady her- his nose was already broken he had nothing to lose.

June tensed and her muscles quavered as she resisted punching him again. She slowly stepped out of his reach, pushing his arm away, "I said don't."

"I don't care. You look like you're about to topple over so deal with it." he says moving closer again.

She groaned, "Please, Will... just back up a little." June stepped away again.

"Fine." he sighs and doesn't move forward again.

June managed to relax her shoulders slightly as she resumed looking around, reminiscing old memories, "This is worse than not being able to fly for a year."

"Why are you out here?"

"I don't know. I think I just needed some air. It gets really stuffy in the infirmary, especially with a tiger's nose. I don't like the smell," June explained.

"I know." Will smiles, he turned into a tiger too. "But still why come here."

She sighed, "The memories. It was my favorite place a long time ago. Whenever I needed air I would come here, sometimes fly around the grass just for fun. At night it looks even better."

"Someone else in the camp lost a piece of her soul when one of the leaders of the bad camp kidnapped her boyfriend's sister. They're going back to get it- it'll be a good distraction and we can get to Kane easier."

June smiled slightly, "Sounds like a good plan... Who was it?"

"You know Viper? She switched sides a while back."

Her smile faded, "Yeah, I know Viper. How's she handling this?"

He shrugs, "I haven't really had a chance to ask. I talked a bit with Gabe. He's looking after her."

"That's good, she needs him there with her. He's gentle... but I don't think I would take him into a fight," June picked a long piece of grass and began twisting it absentmindedly.

"I agree. He's a nice guy- he's a trusting person and just the right one for her."

"Yeah. When are we leaving?," June pressed.

"Gabe thinks a couple days will be good."

June nodded reluctantly, "Alright." She thought silently for a moment, "What did you do to Kane when you went to rescue Ashea?"

"I didn't want to fight him."

"Did he know that?," June asked.

"Well he definitely wanted me dead...so I don't think it mattered."

"You don't know that, Will. And it did matter. Did you hurt him?" June pressed.

He bites his lip, "He shot me in the arm. And he yelled at me for telling you he died."

June's eyebrows met, "I didn't think he cared."
