Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14533 comments Just curious - Do you prefer an heroine who is more on the feisty side or one who is more demure?

Feisty - 1. full of animation, energy, or courage; spirited; spunky; plucky:

Demure - 1. characterized by shyness and modesty; reserved.

Feel free to give examples.

Inquiring minds want to know!

E.L. Irwin (elirwin) | 32 comments I think it depends. I'd almost like one who is a mixture of both. Feisty and modest. I don't think one must be immodest to be considered feisty, right? But I definitely prefer a strong willed person to one who is more like a doormat. Good question!

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14533 comments So something in the middle?

I think to me it depends on the story and what kind of heroine would work best for the plot.

I think both feisty and demure have their place. But I have enjoyed the feisty and kickbutt heroines more in recent years.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments I'm such a moody reader. Just when I say I like modest and demure along comes a feisty heroine that I adore. So... I guess a mix in my reading material. I don't want a Xerox copy in each and every book.
