Hello,

Next month is coming up fast, and Katie and I need your help! We are reducing the book load from 10 to 5, since we feel a little overwhelmed. It has been fun racing each other, but a little stressful. haha

Any who, we would like to know what you would like to read it. It can be in any genre. Then we can decide from there.

Thank you for the help!

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

I would like to read The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson .

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

Northmen The Viking Saga, 793-1241 AD by John Haywood

OH this one.

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Giki | 64 comments how do you get the little pics?

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

When you tag the book you can choose title or cover. If you choose the cover option then you will get the picture instead of the title. Does that help?

comment add book/author (some html is ok)

Click Add book/author
then click link or cover at the bottom and type the book name or author

Giki | 64 comments thanks - got it now. From Katie's list I quite like the sound of the song of Achilles.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

That one looked good too.

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

I thought throne of glass and assassins blade were in the same series.

message 18: by Katie (new)

Katie (cupikate) The Assassin's Blade (Throne of Glass 0.1 - 0.5) is a prequel with about 5 novellas but I also want to read Throne of Glass the first of the series. Some people like to jump in and others like to read the prequels I was leaving it up to ya'll

There are so many more I want to add to this list. My at home TBRs are collecting dust while I keep stacking more on. :/

The Complete Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle The White Queen (The Plantagenet and Tudor Novels, #2) by Philippa Gregory Wicked The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (The Wicked Years, #1) by Gregory Maguire

I don't want to read every sherlock holmes story, but one. I just have the complete volume and don't know the individual stories. lol

Katie (cupikate) Alex Farrand wrote: "The White Queen (The Plantagenet and Tudor Novels, #2) by Philippa Gregory Wicked The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (The Wicked Years, #1) by Gregory Maguire"

Would have to read The Lady of the Rivers (The Plantagenet and Tudor Novels #1) first

Wicked sounds good too

We can read the first one?

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

I don't know the name of it, and I think it is still packed lol.

message 25: by Giki (new)

Giki | 64 comments oooh, the white queen - I saw the tv series a few years back- it was very cool.

A study in scarlet

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

I saw some of that series on Amazon. It looked great. Have you watched the White Princess?

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

Hidden Figures.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

American psycho or the shinning!

message 30: by Katie (new)

Katie (cupikate) Both? Lol

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

Katie, you have a lot of YAs. lol.

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

I am assuming Katie wants to read a YA. I would like to read a horror/thriller book for Halloween. Historical fiction from GIki? I just need two more genres and we can get these polls going. :)

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

I wouldn't mind reading a non-fiction too. depending what time of history you all like.

Salha (salhavam) Alex Farrand wrote: "I am assuming Katie wants to read a YA. I would like to read a horror/thriller book for Halloween. Historical fiction from GIki? I just need two more genres and we can get these polls going. :)"

How about Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys for the Historical Fiction genre?

From this list, I own and haven't read: The Hate U Give, The Book Thief, and Aristotle & Dante :)

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

I love WW2 novels. Haha

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

We can. I think 4-5 is doable. 10 was pretty extreme. I have to finish Pawn of Frankincense by DD this month. I am so behind in that, because of our competition, Katie!

What is the one book you would like to add for October?

message 40: by Salha (new)

Salha (salhavam) I'd like to add Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys , to have a Historical Fiction book within the October reads.

Or maybe The Book Thief by Markus Zusak , if you guys don't own Salt to the Sea. Either of these two is fine by me :)

I personally do not own either but that has never stopped me before lol
Which do you guys prefer? I'm down for either one but of course I'm going to lean towards The Book Thief since it's already on my TBR.

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

I already read the Book Thief. It is possible that I could read it again. Either one is fine.

message 43: by Katie (new)

Katie (cupikate) Way to go alex lol let's read the other one then yeah? Maybe I can still pick up the book thief for personal reading next month

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

Lmao sorry.

message 45: by Giki (new)

Giki | 64 comments I don't mind - not read any of them yet. top of my list would be the song of achillies but we can always do that anther time. We need to make sure we have a range of different types of books

message 46: by [deleted user] (new)

Agree with Giki on the range of Genres. 😁
