Steve Jobs
question
Do you know of any characters in literature based on Steve Jobs

My antagonist/protagonist in my novel is based in part on Steve Jobs, and Walter Isaacson's biography was a great source. Steve Jobs has a bigger than life presence in contemporary cul;ture and I was wondering if other literary figures are based on him?

I think it's too early. But maybe in the next decade will appear some...
Elon Mask come close with his spaceX and Tesla.

Musk is also an influence for me. I wanted to critically examine the role of such people and to explore the darkside of technological quick fixes and

What are ya talkin' bout? This is a commercialized, copycat, 'pop' culture period we're in right now. So there hasn't been any 'literature' created in the era in which that putrid moron came on the scene. Why would anyone write about him anyway? Hopefully he is roasting on a spit in hell right now along with Hitler and Stalin. He and that other sack of shyt, Bill Gates were just a couple of awkward computer-nerds who morphed into fat, bloated capitalist scum like so many others. Nothing unusual about that. Businessmen are not heroes, remember? They screw us all over, remember? How about the filthy garbage who created 'Facebook', don't forget him either. Hey, do you want to live in an Orwellian world? Or are you too befuddled and bamboozled to recognize what has happened?
Yes! Mr. Peter Keating From Ayn Rand's The fountainhead. I felt that perfectly describes him. I might be wrong. But I always thought Howard Roark to be similar to Steve Wozniak and Mr. Keating to Steve Jobs

It is very funny that you picked this. My novel is in part meant as a literary take-down of the Fountainhead - because the plutocrat would be savior,

It is interesting that you picked Mr. Keating. Actually my novel Ten Directions is a literary take down on The Fountainhead
I agree that Steve created a character that could not be mimicked. However, his relentlessness reminded me very much of Alexander Hamilton, as he always got his way and persisted until everything was exactly how he wanted it. They are different in the sense that Jobs was much more ruthless and did not care about others, especially those who loved him and those who were close to him (for the most part).
I have written a novel, entitled "SJ", in which I base the protagonist, Saint Jean Winchillsea, a British oil billionaire, on Steve Jobs.
However, what I was most interested in underscoring and paralleling about their lives, was the period of Steve's life after he received the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.
My book, based on an intensive study of Steve's life, identifies the psychological markers that led to the development of cancer.
My character, Saint Jean, has the same major life events and the same kinds of reactions to them, up until the diagnosis, which is where my story starts.
At that point their stories diverge.
Saint Jean meets a woman who knows a great deal about the Mind/Body connection...and the rest is their story.
Im in the final edit and when thats complete, I'll begin looking for a publisher.

I feel like Steve Jobs may be too recent of a figure to have found his place in well-known literature quite yet. While he made a SIGNIFICANT impact on our world, I can't recall finding him in books I have read recently. Maybe I am wrong... has anyone found any characters based off of him in other books? If so, which?
That's a very interesting question. He's definitely a "character" to say the least! What's great about him and his journey is he flipped flopped between the protagonist to antagonist and back to protagonist. Whoever you may relate that to in a literary story could work, but needless to say, he was always a dynamic individual and always kept you on your toes! Hope this helps :-)
