Amanda (manka23) | 11 comments My name is Mandy and I'm a book addict. In all seriousness though if you want someone to read and review your book I may be that person.

I love YA, NA, romance, historical fiction, science fiction, mysteries and most of all fantasy. I'm all over the board. I give almost anything a chance. Either kindle format or paper copy. (I get super excited about paper copies coming in the mail.) I post my reviews on goodreads, librarything, booklikes and Amazon. I hand write my reviews first and tend to stack up a couple before I type them out, so if you want your review posted on release day or something just let me know.

I am working on getting a blog started soon also. When that finally comes together I am hopeful to post reviews there, but I may also contact some indie authors that I reviewed for in the past for Q and A or to be involved in giveaways. Since this part of my reviewing life is just starting I would really like to beef up my reviews and following.

Hi Amanda,
I have a new book released on November 9. Below is the description. I can send you an advanced digital copy and you can be one of the first to review it ;)

Enemies of Peace literally starts with a bang: an explosion captured by two teenage girls of a house engulphed in flames. In the summer that lead up to the explosion, the Hydroline Corporation hired Timothy Lawson and his firm to represent them in a class-action lawsuit. While juggling his caseload, he and his wife Cynthia decide to buy their first house. It should have been the happiest summer of their lives. Nevertheless, their date with death was looming.

Who could have possibly done it? Could it be the corporation that Timothy was defending, did he uncover one secret too many? Could it be the cousin that Cynthia has forbidden Timothy to talk with anymore? Could it be the other man who is in love with Cynthia, his jealous rage driving him to kill? Or, could it be the quiet neighbors next door, the unsuspecting extremists living in American suburban splendor?

Hello Mandy! I am a new author and I just published my very first book last week, and I am looking for reviews on it. If you have the time to take a look at it, I would greatly appreciate it. It's $2.99 for a kindle book right now, but it is free for kindle unlimited.

It can be found here:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

Thank you so much!

ABOUT THE BOOK:
After the nuclear apocalypse of 2100, now referred to as the Great Fire, Oloris—the last habitable land in the world has become mankind’s last chance at survival. This topographical phenomenon is home to seven vastly different climates—a freezing tundra in the north, a dark murky swamp in the west, a vast mountain range in the south, a subtropical sand filled beach in the east, and at its center lays a sweltering desert, gentle rolling plains, and a bioluminescent tree filled forest. Once home to only a few hundred survivors of the Great Fire, Oloris is now entering its eight-hundredth year and is home to over a million citizens.

Separated into seven nations, and ruled by seven very different factions, the land is monitored by a group of magically enhanced individuals called the Seven. Through the time-honored tradition of passing their mantle to a younger counterpart from their home nation every thirty years, the Seven have ensured Oloris’s peace for nearly half a millennia—until now. A power-hungry queen in the north will stop at nothing until all of Oloris is hers to rule. She is gathering her forces, making allies and planning the Seven’s demise. Her thirst for power couldn’t have come at a worse time. The current Seven have reached the end of their service and must choose their successors. Now, the sanctity of Oloris will be entrusted to a group of individuals who most perceive as children—not warriors.

A blind orphan, a rich highborn, a slave, a gentle hunter, an enlightened blacksmith, a warrior, and a queen long thought dead—are thrust into a world of magic, power, and deception. Enemies are lurking in the shadows, allies are rallying their forces, and nations are struggling to choose sides in the coming war. Carefully navigating Oloris’s politically charged climate, these young protectors must learn not only their place in the world but how to save their world as they know it.

This omniscient third person point of view novel follows the story of this group of magical young adults in a post-apocalyptic world. This story will feature many diverse characters, highlighting friendship, family, relationships, race, and sexual orientation—all combined with a pro-feminist feel. Professionally copy-edited and at just over 135,000 words, The Seven will be the first novel in an expected series.

Fantasy literature has always played an important role in my life. Growing up surrounded by great literary works such as Harry Potter, reading quickly became not just a hobby but rather a place of escape. I soon realized, however, that while these fantasy worlds depicted every creature or race imaginable, the concept of something as simple as a gay character seemed inconceivable. This is the struggle that any teen of the LGBT community faces when reading young adult fiction. Fantasy novels are meant to be an escape from reality—to go to a place where anything is possible, yet sometimes that journey can be incredibly lonely when there isn't anybody like you.

The Seven is meant to be a place of escape for everyone. So, whether you are gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, a person of color, live with a disability, or a young girl looking for a strong female influence—no matter who you are, you will find your place in this book.

L.E. Doggett (ldwriter2) | 29 comments I have two books both different, since you said you were all over the board,

One is Urban Fantasy about a young woman who has a special ability and used it to help people but now she has found something that is over head and she is the only one who knows of and can stop, a plan that will kill scores of people including her few friends.

The second novel is a steampunk-special ops tale. A young man has been placed in charge of a special unit who fights their countries enemies from the shadows. He has to learn to command and to fight even when outnumbered.

David Kummer | 40 comments I'm looking to give away free review copies for my new book, Until We Burn: A Psychological Thriller. I can do any format.

Is this the best one I've written? Glad you asked. Yes it is.

I could go on and on, but there's no need. Read the description, and you'll see for yourself why it's so captivating :) I really would love to give any of you a free copy that you could review on Amazon or Goodreads. I love the people I've met here.

You'll never see the ending coming.

"Cyrus Street never forgot about his home. It was always in the back of his mind, with the memories, the nightmares. Alluring, always pulling him back. There were so many questions unanswered. Something he left behind.

When he finally returns, he's drawn back into a world even worse than he remembers. Werifesteria, with its dark secrets and murky past, never changed. It remains a cesspool, a danger. There's something about the town unnerving, yet enticing. It isn't normal. It isn't sane.

As soon as Cyrus steps back into it, the murders begin. He's the only one can catch this madman, if he can only control his mind.

Everybody remembers the fire. Everybody remembers him. But there's a darkness he's buried inside his own head. And unless he can remember, the entire town will burn."

Mark Yarwood | 1 comments Hi Amanda. I’m about to release a first book in a series, JAIRUS’ Sacrifice, a crime thriller, mystery. This is the blurb:

Jairus isn’t a policeman anymore and it’s killing him. His whole world has collapsed after being investigated for murder, twice. Cleared, but off the force, he spends his days drinking and trying to fathom what went wrong.
Then he gets offered a deal from the devil. Douglas Burdock, son of a much despised media baron, asks Jairus to look into the closed brutal murder of a journalist, suspecting a cover-up. If Jairus solves the case, then Burdock will use his father’s influence to get him back on the force.
But nothing’s that simple.
Jairus’ investigation leads him into a dark and sinister world of secrets and a mysterious organisation determined to stop him. But it’s when the case leads him towards more murders and back into his own dark history that things really start to get horrific, and push Jairus towards making the ultimate sacrifice.

I can get a ebook to you or I can send a paperback when I’ve produced one.

Let me know if you’re interested. Need all the reviews I can get.

K.G. Petrone | 12 comments Cycles of Time - Revenge is Mine: Supernatural, Mystery, Thriller

Here is the blurb. But be sure to check out the reviews!!

TRUE EVIL NEVER DIES…

At the mercy of her captors, her daughter, Sue Lee is forced on a terrifying journey no eight-year-old child should ever have to endure. But what cost is Victoria willing to pay? Should she trust the enemy?
ENTANGLED WITHIN THE CYCLES OF TIME…
Det. Jennifer Hart and her partner, Det. Patric Jones are the perfect duo in this dual timeline suspense mystery to end the slaughter. Jones uses his propensity for puzzles and problem solving, to assist Hart in putting the clues together. However, the investigation takes an unexpected turn, after they realize Hart’s insidious daydreams are a connection to something much viler.

Soon, the Detectives find themselves delving into the past, knee-deep in a culture they know very little about, unearthing an even greater mystery. But will the Detectives find the next victim before the killer? And will Victoria ever be reunited with her little girl?

David Lea | 2 comments Hi, I've just released my debut novel and I was wondering if you might be interested in reviewing it.

Entangled Earth
Physics isn’t easy. Rule number one should always be ‘Don’t destroy the world’, but sometimes science doesn’t follow the rules. An experiment gone wrong means the Earth might only have days left. The planet is being torn apart by an invisible and deadly… something. Physicist Mia Green must get home to England, from a devastated Paris, to find her family and maybe, just maybe, stop the experiment that’s ending the world.

I really hope you get the chance to read it. Let me know if you are interested and I'll pop across a .mobi copy to you. If you want more info you can visit my Website.

It has been reviewed very positively on Amazon.co.uk and Goodreads and by a number of bloggers, but nothing on Amazon.com yet which is of course the biggie!

C.T. Phipps | 2 comments Hi,

My name is C.T. Phipps and I was curious if you would be interested in reading one of the first two books in my UNITED STATES OF MONSTERS series that have independent character plotlines. They are paramormal/urban fantasy books with the first written for adults and the other borderline adult/YA . STRAIGHT OUTTA FANGTON and I WAS A TEENAGE WEREDEER. They are both satirical somewhat funny takes on supernatural stories but with serious plots ala Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

The books are about 200 and 250 pages long. I intend to carry on the stories of both characters in future books so no happily ever after (but no cliffhangers either). It takes place in the same world, roughly 30 miles apart, in a vampire-ruled Detroit and a small town outside Detroit.

Fangton: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

"Peter Stone is a poor black vampire who is wondering where his nightclub, mansion, and sports car is. Instead, he is working a minimum wage job during the night shift as being a vampire isn’t all that impressive in a world where they’ve come out to mortals.
Exiled from the rich and powerful undead in New Detroit, he is forced to go back when someone dumps a newly-transformed vampire in the bathroom of his gas station’s store. This gets him fangs-deep in a plot of vampire hunters, supernatural revolutionaries, and a millennium-old French knight determined to wipe out the supernatural.

Sometimes, it just doesn’t pay to get out of the coffin."

Weredeer: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

"Jane Doe is a weredeer, the least-threatening shapechanger species in the world. Blessed with the ability to turn furry at will and psychically read objects, Jane has done her best to live a normal life working as a waitress at the Deerlightful Diner. She has big dreams of escaping life in the supernatural-filled town of Bright Falls, Michigan, and her eighteenth birthday promises the beginning of her teenage dreams coming true.

Unfortunately, her birthday is ruined by the sudden murder of her best friend's sister in an apparent occult killing. Oh, and her brother is the primary suspect. Allying with an eccentric FBI agent, the local crime lord, and a snarky werecrow, Jane has her work cut out for her in turning her big day around.

Thankfully, she's game."

I'd happily provide you a review copy in whatever format you want. In addition to ebook and paper, they're also available in audible audiobook.

Thank you for your time.

Pamela King | 3 comments Hi Amanda. My new book Merigal Dingoes will be launched on 22 November. It is not covered by the genres you prefer but as you have 3 dogs I figured you must be a dog lover and might be interested.

It is a collection of heart-warming Dingo (and one New Guinea Singing Dog) stories. The dingo is native to Australia yet one of the most maligned animals in the world. Berenice Walters was one of our earliest dingo champions and founded the Merigal Dingo Sanctuary

It includes over 30 stories and 100 photos demonstrating how Berenice’s dingoes taught her about their personality, behaviour and antics with a large dose of reciprocated love, and humour.

The collection is based on the records of Berenice Walters and my own personal experience and, I believe, would valuable for anyone wanting to learn more about the Dingo.

Kiran Bhat (originalsin_0421) Hello Mandy,

I am Kiran Bhat. I am an Indian-American polyglot, traveler, and writer. I have traveled to over 130 countries, lived in 18 different places, and speak 12 languages. I try to use my lifestyle and perspective as a means to create globalised works of literature. I'm in the middle of a book tour, but have realized that I have done very little work to get reviews of my work onto the Internet; I am trying to fix this now. Would any of you guys be interested in reviewing my novel, we of the forsaken world...?

In a distant corner of the globe, a man journeys to the birthplace of his mother, a tourist town destroyed by an industrial spill. In a nameless remote tribe, the chief’s second son is born, creating a scramble for succession as their jungles are being destroyed by loggers. In one of the world’s sprawling metropolises, a homeless one-armed woman sets out to take revenge upon the men who trafficked her. And, in a small village of shanty shacks connected only by a mud-and- concrete road, a milkmaid watches the girls she calls friends destroy her reputation.

we of the forsaken world…, published by Iguana Books on January 22nd, 2020, is structured as a linguistic chain comprising the accounts of 16 people, connected along subtle lines, who indirectly witness these four narratively and geographically diverse central storylines. The story flows and recombines like digital connectivity, throwing into question pre-21st century assumptions about narrative logic and, I hope, embodying the way in which modern communication unites this planet every second, everywhere.

If you are interested in reading it, you can get a copy on amazon (https://www.amazon.com/we-forsaken-wo...), or I will happily send you a review copy if you pm me. Just let me know what works for you.

Best wishes,

Kiran

Daniel Newwyn | 4 comments Hi, Amanda. Thanks for the offer! Do you do romance literary fiction? My novella is a love story that speaks to the lows of human experience. It deals with themes of self-esteem, desperation, and salvation. If this is your cup of tea, then this book is for you.

This is the book: The Colour of Your Voice

And here is the description:

Violet Pham can see sounds. The brown chirps of the sparrows danced with the colours of their feathers. The green blobs from her mother floated with her squeaky berates.

She believes she was born to become a painter but after being labelled useless by everyone around her, she questions that belief. The colours around the sounds become a curse rather than a gift. With her future unsettled and her family mired in debt, there is only one solution: run away from everything.

That’s when she meets Turner Nguyen. He’s everything she wishes she could be—an iron will and a flint heart. There’s only one thing wrong with him. He’s at the centre of gang wars, uses his fists to collect debts and makes his money off the addiction of others.

Soon, the sound of his words paint Violet’s world with the ugly shade of disaster. Where will they go from here?

If you like it, I'd gladly send you a free e-copy! Please let me know :) my email is danielngo1412@gmail.com if you wish to communicate there

Zoey Za (zoeyza) | 2 comments Hi Mandy, below is a description of my comedic memoir, "I'll Laugh About This Later," ~52k words. I can send you mobi or epub format if you're interested. Thanks for your consideration!

Book description:
My name is not Zoey, but the rest of this story is pretty legit. I did grow up in Hawaii, and I do check the boxes "two or more races" and "millennial" on surveys. My journey includes a cast of close relations who are managing schizophrenia, OCD, hoarding, and sticking-head-in-sand. I have included an unhealthy dose of detail regarding my struggles with sex and relationships. I also share my struggles to try the make-the-world-a-better-place thing, despite my urge to sprint away from every mildly uncomfortable conversation. I've been lucky to find humor in most of my life. There may be bits of this story that bum you out. However, I'll only let that go on for a few pages before I say something awkward that you might laugh at. For example, if I tell you someone dies, I'll quickly follow up by telling you about the time a 12ish year old boy hit on me at a grocery store. (He may have mistaken my work backpack for middle school gear, or he may have just been a baller.) There's a splash of politics and COVID-19 pandemic fun in here too. I would describe this story as having a happy ending.

Hemanth Fernando (hemanth_fdo) | 2 comments Hello Mandy! Hope you're doing well. I'm from India. I have recently published my first ever anthology, Rhythmic Shades. “Let your souls listen to the voice of the voiceless. . .” The anthology, Rhythmic Shades is a collection of soulful musings of an old-odd soul wandering in the mazed phases, exploring the scarrusts and the stardusts. With voices unheard and choices unfeared; with dreams shattered and screams shuttered, the soul bleeds in agony, loves in fantasy seeking ecstasy. Little does it know, all it needs is an eternal harmony. “ Explore with the soul, the ecstasy of fantasy and the insanity of reality. ”

Paddy Murphy is your typical Irish man. He is a hard worker who values his time and his Guinness stout beer. He's always where the action can be found. Tagging along with him is his trusted sidekick, Softie. These two lifelong friends have built a reputation as a hard-hitting tag team who dish out the punches at any fight, irrespective of the location. Not even the responsibilities of marriage and raising families do anything to slow down this dynamic duo. Stories of people disappearing around the world have reached the shores of Paddy's home nation. However, no one in Ireland has any record of such an incident until the day Paddy is "raptured," for want of a better word to call it. Follow Paddy's story as he battles hard to find his way back home. Will he make it back to his loving family or fall to a similar fate as the other missing people?

Murphy Knows What Aliens Eat is a family fun story, with a view of the economic struggles of the Irish people back in the '70s and '80s. The storyline pretty much follows Paddy and his rather interesting life choices. The switch in the tone and direction is so subtle that most readers probably won't realize it till the closing stages of the book.

I like the character development of the main character, Paddy. I'm impressed with the way the author fleshes out Paddy's life on paper. Attention is paid to detail, from his childhood memories to his escapades as an adult and a working father. The storyline is both exciting and believable, so long as the reader can stretch their imagination a bit. There are some rather amusing twists in the book, such as when Paddy spends time analyzing the typical daily activities of a Nayzic. The attempted rebellion on the Greys' spaceship got me laughing just at the thought of it.

I found the book extremely enjoyable. There was practically nothing to dislike about it, save from a few minor errors. Young children would find this book fun and particularly exciting. It could also serve as an aid for those involved in conservation efforts, as it could propagate their message adequately and with ease. The story's concern was explained so that even a child would find it easy to follow.

Murphy Knows What Aliens Eat by Bobby Brazil is a fun guide for the environmentally conscious individual. There's enough information in this book to influence your views on environmental issues. You also get more than your fair share of laughs while you read. I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. I give the author many praises for this impressive piece of work

Hello Amanda,
Are you still available to read and write reviews? My book titled The Untold Tales of a Sailor at Sea is much like the movie TITANIC and filled with adventure, drama, romance, and unsuspecting crime. My book is about the hidden secrets of the cruise industry. I have paperback copies if you have are willing to kindly lend your time. www.authorlctang.com
