My forerunner Canadian choice is The Luminaries; I have a few non-Canadian choices too. We'll see how the spirit moves me!

I just started A Prayer for Owen Meany and I'm thinking of using it for this square. Trying to stick to Canadian authors, but I understand John Irving lives in Toronto? Can anyone confirm this?

The Orenda by Boyden clocks in right at 500 pages and I thought it was very good. It might be a good choice for someone who likes historical fiction.
I loved Owen Meany, @Allison!! I’m just about done Hillary Clinton’s What Happened for this square. 512 pages — just makes the cut!

If I have time at the end I’ll try and switch it with a Canadian author.
