Suzy Hansen's new book: 'Notes from a Foreign Country: An American Abroad in a Post-American World.' It's brilliant. She's brilliant!
Also, I would just like to say that Suzy Hansen makes one vow to never pick up a book by Bernard Lewis again.

I really liked Nina Willner's "40 Autumns". What a family story! And Adichie's "Purple Hibiscus" is heartbreaking and amazing.
That was the first read of Istanbook, the Foreign Women of Istanbul book club. I looked up all of the Nigerian recipes in that book as I read, and now I can't wait to taste them all. I loved that book!
