A New Earth discussion

"What makes you feel more alive and open, less dense, les bogged down by heavy thoughts and feelings? Could this be the beginnings of what [Book: A New Earth] is pointing towards?"

To get this thread started, I'll begin:

I feel most alive when I serve others. It's then when I feel most at one with all those whom I consider to be my brothers and sisters here on earth, including you! It's also when I feel at one with God.

(The question for this thread is taken from the class work book.)

I get the same good feeling when I help others whether it is a friend or family member or donating my time to a charitable cause, or one I am passionate about.

Just being with the moment rather than resisting it makes me lighter. And the surprising result is that I make better decisions and take more effective action than if I just followed my thoughts and tried to start fixing things. Another result of just allowing this moment in time to be is that I have much less negative emotions and thoughts because I don't identify them as "me" any more.
