North Yorkshire Library Service Food Reads discussion

The red kidney bean and green bean curry recipe is from the "Main Event" section of the book, I chose it as husband is a meat-lover so I wanted something chunky and substantial to win him over to the veggie side! The recipe was easy to follow and turned out exactly like the photo in the book. Wish I could add photos here but it's not an option. It's fairly intensive on the spice shopping list but I had everything in already except fenugreek which I couldn't find at the supermarket so I used mustard seeds as a substitute.
The curry was delicious and a lovely consistency. The huge amount of different spices gave it real depth of flavour, it even got the thumbs up from the veggie skeptic so we'l definitely be having it again.
