Smallo Maybe sapiens really don't want utopia because they fear/hate boredom.

Beverly Garside I suspect the degree to which people hate to be imprisoned with their own thoughts and seek some kind of stimulus to distract them may depend upon how extroverted they are. We introverts are perfectly at home in our own thoughts and in fact, often resent being pulled out of them. Hey, here's an idea for a dystopia - extroverts are given implants that block distracting stimuli and are subjected to sensory deprivation - except for the time they spend in the service of some sadistic government or corporation, that gives them "hits" of pleasant stimuli as they work towards his evil goals. Somebody would make it into a movie!

Smallo Introvert/extrovert comparison is spot on. Even at work I'm plugged into my earbuds listening to audiobooks and upset when boss and coworkers force me to remove especially if they just want to chat.
