Page #174 Synopsis: Evie Boyd is a young teenage girl who lives a normal life with her divorced mother and best friend Connie, until one day when she sees a group of four girls walking outside a restaurant. She is automatically intrigued by them, especially Suzanne, and watches them from afar. One day while shopping, Evie sees Suzanne and her crew attempt to steal toilet paper from the store, but get caught and are kicked out. She, wanting to be accepted them, offers to steal some for them. When she does, the girls want to invite her to a special solstice party they are having at the ranch they live at who is run by "Russel". Evie goes with them and has a new drug-filled and eye-opening experience with all the new people who she met at the ranch, incuding Russel, who she now has a sudden urge to please. She leaves the ranch and is told that Suzanne and the girls are running out of money. She offers to steal money for them from her mother. What I like about this book is that it shows how naiive and vulnerable you are at a young age and how easy it is to be manipulated. Argue: I argue that Evie should continue to be with and steal for the girls anymore
