It's time to make suggestions for our next group reads! All suggestions made in this topic will be listed in a poll in a few days so that we can vote on the two books for the monthly group read.

If a book has featured in a previous group read in the last 12 months, please do not suggest it for this next group read. You may, however, feel free to repeat any earlier unsuccessful suggestions you (or anybody else) made in previous nomination topics.

Donna Rae Jones | 115 comments A Man of Shadows by Jeff Noon. I really enjoyed Vurt, so hoping for some of the same :-)

Thanks for that, JuniperGreen. I'll still nominate it though as it'll be good to compare the two.

I'll nominate for our group's consideration Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. Worthy of consideration again. Two truly iconic authors, with a book less than 400 pages, makes it apoealing to me when I will be writing 1800 words a day in November for the National Novel Writing Month month-long 50 -60K word production from each of the participants.

Hey, Richard - I've signed up for NaNoWriMo, too! No idea how on earth I'm going to fit it all in, as I've just started a new job but, hey - whatever! I'll probably be a rebel and just aim for 25k, all things considered. Can I add you as a buddy?

V.L. Jennings (vljennings) | 2 comments I'll donate ebook copies of The Alien Mind if you all would be interested in reading it. The paperback is 296 pages so it should be fairly simple to finish for those of us who are doing NaNoWriMo (and holiday functions too) this month.

Mel | 83 comments I would like to nominate Vermilion Sands
Picked it UP recently on a book trawl in Hay-on-wye (town full of book stores nestled in deepest, darkest South Wales, UK)
