I've found couple of author's profile which are related to national variants of spelling.

English variant of author name: Vasily Yan
Russian variant of author name: Василий Ян
Ukrainian variant of author name: Василь Ян

Should ones be merged to one profile?

Author profiles in different languages/spelling should never be merged.
