Averyj2 The Last Song
By Nicholas Sparks

This book is about a girl named Ronnie Miller. She had to leave with her ten year old brother from New York City, to Wrightsville Beach. Ronnie is going their for the summer to spend time with her dad which she doesn't want to.

Ronnie is the main character in this book. She goes to spend the summer with her dad that left their family three years ago and hasn’t spoken to him since. She is very rude to her dad and doesn't respect him at all. Her dad, steve, plays the piano, and was once ronnies piano teacher after her dad left she wouldn't play anymore. In my opinion ronnie is kind of a brat and somewhat rebellious. She tries to avoid her father all the time, and didn't tell her mother she went to a concert with somebody that her mother didn't approve of.

The other main character is Will. Ronnie and Will meet at a volleyball game at the beach when Will goes to reach for the ball and spills a drink on her. Will and Ronnie soon began talking to each other. On the beach by her dads house she discovered baby turtles on the beach. They both spend time over the turtles eggs. During that time she tried to not talk to Will. Ronnie starts to not trust him when a girl tells her that Will in a serial dater.

The setting takes place in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Ronnie’s dad has a small home by the sea that the church owns. This is where her and her little brother Jonah go to stay for the summer. Ronnie and her dad become so close as she stays there.

The other setting that sticks out to me the most would be at the beach. I think this because everything happens on the beach. This is where Ronnie and Will first met. When Ronnie and will were taking care of the baby sea turtles, it showed that it brought them closer, and they learned more about each other. Ronnie also met her good friend Blaze on the beach to, when Ronnie was looking for a T-shirt after Will had spilled on her.
