Did you guess the ending?

What subtle clues were given and what red herrings did you find led you in a different direction?

Sorry that I can't remember anything specific but I certainly didn't guess the ending on this one. Now I want to read others in the series.

Same here, Sheila. I had my suspicions, gotta say, as the guy was pretty weird but they all had their reasons. And yes, I'd like to read the rest of the series too!

I did not guess the ending. I'm wondering if this is because Ann does not plan the plot and ending in advance. I was very suspicious of the man who first found the body and his daughter who cleaned the houses. I don't have the book anymore so I can't remember his name. But I didn't see any purpose for them in the story unless they had something to do with the murder.

I thought it might have been Shirley (?) the prisoner worker, but that went out the window after her murder. I didn't pick out Nigel. He was just another member of that "wanna be" group and was largely indistinguishable. Until Vera talked to his wife. She gave away clues.
