Hopefully that's the case for me. I was not impressed with the first two, so this is the last chance I'm giving this to impress me.
I'm somewhere in chapter 11. I'm going to try and push through, but not enjoying this ibe either. :/ I can't seem to connect with the characters or the story, really. I think it's the writing more than anything else. It just leaves me feeling detached. I do like Mister.
I'm at around chapter 20 now, I think. And things are not looking good for Harry Dresden. Sell your soul or allow an innocent person to die? Tough call there, tough call.
I'm in chapter 32. It has gotten more exciting but I will not be continuing after this one. I'm just not connecting.

Just finished and this was my last adventure with Harry Dresden. There definitely are better books out there. I don't have time to spend on the ones that are just sort of ok at times.
Finished!I love the Harry Dresden series narrated by James Marsters. In this installment, he helps a girl who is having nightmares and ends up at a court full of vampires wanting to wage war against each other and against the White Council of magicians. Ghosts are also on the rampage and seem to be tearing up magic from the inside. Harry manages, through his wit, wisdom and charm, to get through it all but at what personal cost to himself? Great narration and character development in this one.

Lost Items Found. Paranormal Investigations. Consulting. Advice. Reasonable Rates. No Love Potions, Endless Purses, or Other Entertainment.
Harry Dresden has faced some pretty terrifying foes during his career. Giant scorpions. Oversexed vampires. Psychotic werewolves. It comes with the territory when you're the only professional wizard in the Chicago-area phone book.
But in all Harry's years of supernatural sleuthing, he's never faced anything like this: The spirit world has gone postal. All over Chicago, ghosts are causing trouble - and not just of the door-slamming, boo-shouting variety. These ghosts are tormented, violent, and deadly. Someone - or something - is purposely stirring them up to wreak unearthly havoc. But why? And why do so many of the victims have ties to Harry? If Harry doesn't figure it out soon, he could wind up a ghost himself....
