I just finished reading Spook: Science Tackles the Afterlife and researching noetic science* and I just starting Trespassing on Einstein's Lawn: A Father, a Daughter, the Meaning of Nothing, and the Beginning of Everything and learning about quantum physics. The weighing of souls to the observer effect of the double slit experiment. The world is a strange and fantastic place my friends.
*for a Novel on noetics check out The Lost Symbol
I will finally, then, finish The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark. Rather, I will probably have to start over. But that will be my next book. XOXOX, Carl Sagan. Nothing against you, dear man. I got distracted.ETA
PS: laughing, b/c I didn't even read the list of suggested authors before I posted.
I've read a couple of Mary Roach's books and they're wonderful! Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers & Packing for Mars: The Curious Science of Life in the Void were both quite enjoyable.
