What Are You Doing?
Good luck with your revisions, Denise! And sorry to hear you've been feeling down, Simi.I just finished working on some writing and am hanging out with my boyfriend while he plays video games.
Hi there! I'm reviewing children's picture books this afternoon while my husband watches football! Hope you all enjoy your day!

Thank you, Denise. And congrats to you ^^ Haha I can relate. I have a boyfriend who also plays video games.

Rachael, Congrats on the writing.
Thanks to all of you for the encouragement. ..."
You're welcome, Denise. And thank you for the encouragement. Maybe I will find better opportunities in the writing field.
...wondering to press #go# on the first book of my new, Tales of Dust and Dreams series. To be honest, I'm terrified.
It's been ten years in the making. A lot of cash, a great deal of time (actually, all my time) so I'm trepidatious before being hopeful. I guess I've been around for too long!
A couple more things to put into place, I think.
Then, it's missile time.

Close to finishing the book I'm reading. Trying to find my writing groove again...lost it a bit. Blah.Wishing all the other authors the best of luck as they write and prep for a book release!
I understand, Groovy. There are times when I'm not motivated in writing. Though, the motivation will come back. :) You will see.
Wondering how many people will entry the 10-copy book giveaway and doing all that one needs to do for a book launch in a couple weeks. It's a challenge to be sure. The Book of No: 365 Ways to Say It And Mean It--And Stop People-Pleasing Forever
Denise wrote: "I know the feeling, Theresa. I walked away from my writing for close to a year. Reading helps me get those creative juices flowing. Take care and hope it comes soon..."I had that issue late last year/early this year due to several deaths in the family. I just got going again a few months ago. I think last night's issue needed some quiet time and getting the book I was reading done! lol.
Denise and Simi, thank you so much for those encouraging words. It's so heartwarming when we as authors do our best to support one another. I'm going to start typing right now:)To all of you as authors, I wish you the best in your endeavors, too!

I've had a rough day, today. I had been hacked on FB, resulting everyone to question and feel concerned. One even cursed out on me, who was a "friend" from high school. And after I explained it to her, she didn't even apologize. I know it's not my fault, but I feel like I've been taking on so much responsibility.
I'm so sorry to hear that that's happened to you, Simi! That's awful :( Hopefully everything gets settled and resolved quickly.
Just finished up my second blog post and submitted it to my site for this week. Now I'm thinking about whether I should read some more of See Me by Nicholas Sparks, or keep editing my book (20 chapters down, 82 to go). Luckily, the chapters aren't too long so it wouldn't be a bother to edit, it's just I have other things to do today and I know that if I get into it there is no turning back. haha
Thanks, Rachel. I feel much better now, thanks to a friend of mine; she was willing to talk to me after her shift from work. That's cool, D.
Simi, sorry to read that. :/ I believe I have maybe a handful of friends left from childhood. One that I adore I'm pretty sure we'll always be friends. Because even when we were friends on Facebook (when I had one) we barely talked and when we did it wasn't a forced conversation. We let it die out as needed and then pick up like we just talked 5 minutes ago when we realize it's been 4 years. lolNow, regardless of what happened on your feed during your cyber hack, your friend should have been understanding of your situation and should have at least apologized for their behavior once they understood it was not you. The fact that they didn't tells me that they either have no intent of making up with you (have always felt this way and didn't know how to tell you/break the friendship off) or they simply have 'grown apart' from you, and obviously does not feel that deep, intimate connection with you any longer. It stings when we realize friends grow apart from us, or don't want us around anymore, but believe me when I tell you it is for the best. It is your soul's time to grow. You have simply outgrown that friend. And unless they make an attempt at reconciliation, I simply would not bother. You're worth more than that.
Good luck, sweety!
With love and light,
D. M. Shiro
Thanks, D. :) Actually, I've grown apart from the friends that I used to have. It was since high school that I grew apart from them, since they had different ideas and things they want to do. I just don't follow them, anymore. At least I got rid of some people that I don't talk to or don't get along with anymore. I'm feeling much better.
Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving and done your Christmas shopping. ☺ I had a pleasant day yesterday, followed by some writing. I think I'm close to finishing my novel.
I just made tea for my guests..wrote a few pages on - "She is wired that way ".. yea its my new write-up. M kind off excited..Its rainy here.. so feels good seeing the rain.. :-)
Talking to my Grandson who is 1500 miles away while watching my husband guard the embers from his burning brush pile.
Catching up on social media platforms for the past 16 hrs. and then I'm going to read and try to finish Spoiler Alert The Hero Dies and The Cancer Survivors Club. That my friends is what we call a bad case of insomnia. Have a great night!
Sarah, that's great. Looks like you're not the only one who chats with an author. Actually, I talked two of my favorite authors the most out of the four.
Entered a contest that would help me donate money to a Non-Profit Organization of my choosing. If you want to help out, check out my latest blog. :)
Taking a break from writing my third novel to check and see if there was any developing interest in my first two books. LOL...and found that there IS NOT! LOL
I have been promoting the Indie Advent Calendar, which I'm a part of it along with other authors. I wonder if any of you are in there. It's pretty fun ^-^
Just finished getting some Christmas shopping done. I should probably be writing, but instead I'm listening to a podcast.
I know what you mean, Rachel. I wanted to write this week, but I was so busy. So hopefully by tomorrow or Saturday, I might get to it. I already got my Christmas shopping done :)
Thanks for sharing everyone - I'm new to this - not longed joined - with my book soon to be published. I'm just browsing to see what this site is all about. Wish you all success in your ventures!
Just returned from a brief visit to the mall - wife and I have decided to not return until after Christmas.
I hear you, Dante. I'm doing the same, but I'm so stumped. Even in the holidays, I feel stumped. Just today, I helped finish a recording for my sister's channel. It is going to be sweet! I'm gonna post it here, if anyone wants to check it out.
I learned this lesson a long time ago, M. Never, ever go to the mall after Thanksgiving. My daughter used to work at a mall during the holiday season. What would normally take 5 minutes to get out of the parking lot, took 3 hours!!! No more!!But like Dante, and Simi, writing, writing, writing. That book is not going to write itself:)

And good luck, Denise. I'm gonna support your success, 100%.
