Tracy | 8 comments Hi all, does anyone have any good mystery or general holiday reads? I love a good Christmas story this time of year but not too long either.

message 32: by Thelma (new)

Thelma Fountain | 136 comments I am currently reading " The Likeness " by Tana French. It is good. Not really Christmas though, Last year I read John Jakes " savannah " It is the story of the Christmas week when General sherman marched into savannah Georgia at the end of his march to the sea during the civil war. How the people of savannah celebrated Christmas during occupation by the union army.

I am loving it too! I just picked up book 3 My library did not have it in and the used book store did not have it but Barnes & Noble sent me a $10.00 gift card and I found it in paperback there for only $9.99 my membership card took off 10% so I basically got the book free. I could not believe my luck!

Belinda (belindaf) How did I not know about the "My Library" app? You can scan all your books and it'll catalog them on your phone. It's also importable/exportable and has a "Wish List" function. I'm off to scan. LOL!

message 49: by TR (new)

TR | 42 comments Okay, so I'm having a problem and am trying to solve it. I reached out to their IT for a solution, but so far no luck. But I figure the more brains, the better. Maybe somebody knows a trick or something. If not, no big deal, at least I tried. Basically the problem is this, I am supposed to be reviewing an ARC but I can't get it open in my Adobe and if I can't read it, I can't tell them what I think about it. Whenever I try to open it, it just freezes Adobe. Every other book I try to open with it, opens just fine. So I get an e-mail from NetGalley's Tech Support today saying to try Bluefire Reader, so I did. Froze that too. So I think that its a problem with the file, which is .acsm if it matters. I wrote back to tell them what was going on. I'll probably hear back tomorrow, as its close of business here now. So I thought I'd see if there were any other ideas in the mean time.

Yash (bibliogothsh) Hello Friends,
I've just finished reading 'Twenty Love Poems and A Songs of Despair' by Pablo Neruda and I loved that book!
I've recorded an audiobook without noise filters in natural circumstances so as to be felt as forthcoming from a broken heart. Just for retrospection.
Here's the Google Drive Link
Feedbacks are most welcome!

Good Day,
Yash
