Noah warns Adam fir his safety and warns Gansey about Adam. I don't know if he tries to keep the bous safe of if he tries to make the plan of waking the ley line work. Maybe it's both.
Gansey is counting on Adam being responsible and reasonable. If anything, Adam kept Gansey in check when searching for the ley lines, being the voice of reason. The fact that Adam goes by himself, made this decision consciously and knowing Gansey's opinion, takes him aback and maybe scares him a little.
