:-( Bummer - I've been working on a major work Project for months now and that is our go-live week-end. I'll be lucky to get any sleep never mind read a book! You can put me down but if I manage 100 pages I'll be lucky!

True Michael. I'll be in Melbourne, yay, I'm looking forward to a great weekend!
I'll contribute, if only one book’s worth.....the hardest part will be trying to figure out the time difference between AET & EST in Canada.....heh heh
I will participate as well. Will try to get more read than last time as I am on holidays but there again life sometimes gets in the way.
Icewineanne wrote: "I'll contribute, if only one book’s worth.....the hardest part will be trying to figure out the time difference between AET & EST in Canada.....heh heh"In Australia it is 7.30 am (AET daylight savings) on 24 November and EST in Canada 3.30 pm on 23 November. Australia is 16 hours ahead. When I was on holiday once in North America, I disturbed someone in middle of the night back home in Australia!
They roll around so quickly! I'm most certainly in! And I've got my end-of-year reports for my students written so I have quite a bit more time to read... although it is that time of year where so much else needs to be organised!

Ha ha! Wow, what a difference.
So if i begin reading next Thurs evening at 8:01pm........then that should be equivalent to beginning Fri at 12:01am.
Many thanks Odette!

That's right - start after 8 am on Thursday morning and finish on Sunday morning. Hopefully that will put you in sync with other readers.
Count me IN! Looking forward to a quiet time to catch up on books needed to finalise various GR challenges.
Brenda wrote: "You're on the list Mary :)"Thanks Brenda. I might find myself restricted to just one book for the weekend. I've just collected from the local library The Passage by Justin Cronin. At 977 pages, it might be the only thing I get to read in the Readathon! IF, if, I can hold it up, such a huge brick of a book!!!

We didn't quite reach our goal in the last Read-a-thon with just over 31,000 pages read, and because of the time of year, we'll make this GOAL - 30,000 pages
Don't forget our Challenge Guidelines here
Please post your interest here in this thread up until we begin the challenge - when the weekend is over the page numbers read will be tallied:)
If possible, check in at least once a day, more often if you want. Our cut off time for you to add your final totals with a NEW POST will be 12noon Monday 4th AEST:)
