Good morning, everyone!

I know I've been somewhat MIA here on Goodreads. I was in Florida for a week.

Upon my return, I got sick with the flu.

I do have a few challenges to post, and will have them up as soon as I can.

Thank you, Connie! I missed you guys too. I was beginning to have Goodreads withdrawals.

By the way - I was watching the news last night I think it was, and it was showing this huge wall of water coming up over barrier wall, hitting the houses nearby, and the water looked like it was literally freezing on the houses. I think it was somewhere in MA. Are you anywhere near all of that? If I remember correctly, you all have been pretty hard hit with all this really, nasty, cold weather. I hope you and your family are safe and warm.

No water problems at our house, Jingles, since we're well inland. But we are in the longest cold snap (under 20 degrees) since 1917--almost exactly 100 years ago. And the foot of snow we got last week closed local schools for a couple of days. Brrr!

Hi Karen - I just posted a new monthly challenge. I don't have anything else going up this month, I'm sorry. Work has been really, really busy, so I've not had time to get things done here in the group as I'd like to.

I think it will start slowing down a bit though, so hopefully I'll get more done.

Good morning ACATT friends! I wanted to pop in and let you all know what is going on here. We have no phone or internet service, so my communication will be very limited until late Friday. This means of course that September challenged will be late posting.

Bummer!!

I am now back among the internet world...at least at work. We'll see in a little bit how things are at home.

Everything is caught up here, as far as new links set and for those who have completed a challenge. As always, if I've missed your post, just let me know :)

I'll be working on posting challenges the next couple of days.

Jingles, do you know what happened to the How Many Names challenge?? Clicking the link just takes me to cute Goodreads' anecdotes about lost page. Even the link in New Challenge Alert goes nowhere😕. Obviously, the whole world won't end if it is gone for good, but i just want to know if i should stop looking. Thanks!

I have recently started to track how many pages I have been reading. I know that the site does that for me but it is nice to have my own reference. I have also broken this down a little further to determine what my average book length is and how many words are in the books. Also giving me a word count as well.

I was thinking that we could start a 1 year challenge for Books read as a group and the page count. I have a formula that I use for the rest of the information. It would be interesting to see how many pages a group of people can get through in a year and how many words that would equate to.

Just spit ballin here so let me know what you guys think.

That is an awesome idea, David! I know several groups do this each year. I'll work it into our schedule and try to get it posted over the next month or so.

Goodreads is having some major issues which is causing problems with posting new challenges, setting links, and doing any kind of updates.

Hopefully they will have it fixed soon and I can return to posting challenges and updating where needed.
