in december i read some picture books and i wanna know if they should count for my goal?

I believe it depends on your actual goal. Are you trying to say "I read this many adult books" or keep track of the books, period, that you read? My sister and I are both librarians and occassionally read children's books. We both count most of them, but will usually bump up our goal knowing this. Most of my other books are adult and many are really long, so one could discuss whether 1000 pages is actually one book or more...
It's your own judgment call, I believe.
