The Library at Mount Char is superb. {Can't go astray with HPL, Mieville, or VanderMeer either.} I also recommend Matt Ruff and Victor LaValle.

I loved Lovecraft Country and really appreciated The Ballad of Black Tom. I plan to read more from both authors.
For this challenge, I may have to keep Mount Char on hold as my "assigned" reading list for October is already daunting.
