I read this book in class last year. I absolutely hated it. It was extremely confusing, violent and very boring. This is among the worst books I have ever read. It could be I just don’t like the type of book or the writing style, but this book was a big NO for me.
It’s all based on another book called the Iliad. It is all about a war started over a pretty girl named Helen with the gods involved. Honestly, I just wanted to finish this book. It got so boring I could hardly stand it. If you like mythology, this might be a book for you. I like mythology, but just not this. It is up to you to decide whether you want to take the chance and read this.
