I will nominate A Wreath of Roses by Elizabeth Taylor, another book that is already on my to-read shelf and has a mere 263 ratings.

Forgotten Classic - again, A Wonder Book and Tanglewood Tales by Nathaniel Hawthorne, seriously, y'all, Hawthorne is so clever and still relevant in the stories for adults that I've read; I really want an excuse to read his children's stories.

Thanks Cheryl and Stephanie. Cheryl - we can only accept one nomination (I can't remember why we created the distinction between classics and lesser known books but in practice it doesn't mean anything)...

Sorry - the poll for this round is long overdue, but I have just created one here, and it will remain open until January 10th.

The Restraint of Beasts has won the poll. There were only 3 votes, and two of those were from the nominators, which suggests that we need to do something to generate more interest in the group - any ideas?

Yes. I'm planning on reading it. I have reserved it from the library.
