What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I read this book within the last five years. It is kind of a horror/sci-fi/comedy novel. The novel is part of a trilogy and I would like to read the other two in the series. After I read a book, I usually pass it on to someone else. So, I no longer have it.
The novel is set in England. A demon tries to collect the soul of an actuary, but because of a flaw in the small print, the demon owes the actuary a favor. So the actuary/accountant requests to become a superhero. The demon drinks rum.
The novel climax is a Poker game between the Devil and the actuary with Armageddon in the balance.
