Mount TBR 2018 discussion

since I climbed El Toro (75) in 2017, I'm hoping I can read double (or more) that number from my tbr pile (shelves) in 2018. As a motivator, I'm on a book buying ban from January 1 until I reach at least 1/3 of the challenge. Fingers crossed I can do it!!

No buying books! eep! Good luck with the challenge though!

I really like the idea of a book-buying ban linked to percentage of challenge completion; I think I may institute something along those lines for myself, since I definitely need to stop buying books left and right... Good luck with your mountain - 150 books is quite the summit!

20 books in January - 20/150(+) for 2018





6 books in February - 26/150(+) for 2018

11 books in March - 37/150(+) for 2018

6 books in April - 43/150+ for 2018



9 books in May - 52/150+ for 2018

7 books in June - 59/150+ for 2018




28 books in July - 87/150+ for 2018

so I stopped updating here sometime this summer - but my mttbr2018 shelf shows that I read 128 of my own books last year... so I fell short of the goal (but still did pretty well considering). Will try again for sure. :-)
