I need to get my copy of The Poisoner's Handbook: Murder and the Birth of Forensic Medicine in Jazz Age New York back from my friend.

Thanks, Patty. I also remembered The Journalist and the Murderer by Janet Malcolm, which I also own.
I belong to a Mystery and True Crime book club for women and our March selection is After the Eclipse: A Mother's Murder, a Daughter's Search by Sarah Perry. It's a memoir written by the victim's daughter, which may appeal to readers who don't otherwise read the true crime genre.
