Seeing as how so many people consider 'The Black Dahlia' true crime despite the work being fiction, I'm going to go ahead and say yes.

Thanks, Patty. I also remembered The Journalist and the Murderer by Janet Malcolm, which I also own.

Carol (carolfromnc) I belong to a Mystery and True Crime book club for women and our March selection is After the Eclipse: A Mother's Murder, a Daughter's Search by Sarah Perry. It's a memoir written by the victim's daughter, which may appeal to readers who don't otherwise read the true crime genre.

These look fascinating. I'm not familiar with the Ilford murders.
In case anyone else is curious (I was), F. Tennyson Jesse is Alfred, Lord Tennyson's niece.
