Ooh great challenge. I may do something like this myself. Good luck!

Good luck to you too Daniella (in the daily battle with the TBR :) )
Good luck Kerri :) I did a similar one this year which worked really well - I'm continuing it in 2018 :)
We all feel for you; my challenge is a bit more complicated, but it aims at getting my to-read bookshelf/pile in the hall down to 100

Thanks Kylie, I have put myself down for more annual challenges than I normally do, and have put a lot of work into making my TBR fit the challenges wherever I can. So hopefully I will get my 75% :)
31 March update:Have read 24 so far this year (10 AA) - only 62.5% from my TBR (yes, I have a spreadsheet).
But in that same time, I have added about 50 books to my TBR
It is a losing battle
Oooooh, so close - as of this morning, I have read 54 books this year, of which 40 were from my TBR - 74.07%Other stat: 42.59% A.A (by the A.A group definition) - which I think is definitely higher than in the past. While I have always read aussie authors, now that I am specifically looking for them, I think I am reading more, and have had some great reads as a result.
Thanks to the challenge organisers!
Currently sitting on 77% and so I think I am going to make my challenge. The only problem is, I think my TBR is longer now than it was when I started.I know how much of a nerd this makes me sound, but I am starting to get excited about picking my books for next year. I run a "challenge" shelf that has all the books on it that I have put down to read in a current challenge, and it is down to only 12 books. Was about 70 at the beginning of the year.
Not a nerd Kerri - I think there are plenty of us the same ;) And good for you! That's fantastic :)
For the last month or two, I have been moving between 73% and 76% on my TBR challenge, and thought I had it covered... but just updated my list, and I am sitting on 74.76%. Need one more book to make it to 75% exactly... off to find a skinny book.
Found a skinny book to read last night - one that I had in one of my challenges in Dec that I didn't think was going to arrive in time from the library, so I swapped it out. It turned up, so read all 168 pages of it :)Stats for 2019
104 books read or audio's - 2 a week average, not bad
75.00% off my TBR - exactly!
39 Aussie Authors - not bad, better than previous years I am pretty sure
84 of those books were part of a series - tells its own story! I didn't track how many different series, but there were more than a few that I read 3 or more from the one series I think
Average stars given - 3.64% - going to try to get that up in 2019 by giving up on books that I am not enjoying (even if it means not finishing a challenge)
Going to keep this challenge going in 2019 with a little tweak.....
thanks Brenda2 books a week is probably back to the best I have done for 30 years! I am loving the way that the challenges are keeping me going, planning my reading in advance, without any of those "I don't know what to read next" gaps.
If only TO DO lists worked as well in other areas of my life - eg housework!
