4. Read a book featuring some sort of aircraft on the cover (toy planes and hot air balloons count), or in which someone flies.
5. Read a book with a dog on the cover.
I might be able to get the first four categories in, but I seldom read anything with a dog on the cover. I do, however, read books that frequently have a dog in the story. (I may have to substitute). Gonna have to do a little digging for a plate of cookies on a cover.
I hate cover categories, because it forces me to dig through my bookshelves checking covers! Not an easy feat, even with shelves organized, when I have over 6k physical books on shelves (2 rows high, 3 rows deep in paperbacks.) Yes, I can look at the cover here on Goodreads, but I don't always see the edition cover I own, so it would only work part of the time.

Still finishing up my July, but I am ready for another month! My library actually carries the first edition of Death in the Air. Perfect for the August "flying" challenge.1. Unbelievable
Um ... What's the difference between scones and cookies? Excuse me, but not being anglophone now and then I lose myself among the meanings of words... I thought scones was the Scottish synonym for cookies.
They're more like small coffeecakes or quickbreads or biscuits (American biscuits, not British) than cookies.
Jennifer wrote: "They're more like small coffeecakes or quickbreads or biscuits (American biscuits, not British) than cookies."Ok. Thank you!
Patrizia, I knew them beacause they are typical of English tea, and I've gone to an English tea at a hotel in Madrid. For me, they are like shortbread, bollos in Spanish . Like a brioche but more dense.

Ok, I'll try again ...Those in the background dish are cookies, right?
Cookies, scones, biscuits ... I'm going crazy! I'm doing a culinary culture, but I'm getting hungry too ...
Sorry if I'm insistent, but I already jump a task (I have no books borrowed or used) and I have serious difficulties with the book featuring some sort of aircraft on the cover etc.

This one is a cozy Patrizia -
The Green Mill Murder by Kerry Greenwood
Thanks, Brenda, but I'd rather use one of the many books I already have so I can lower my stack of books to read...
Patrizia wrote: "According to you, are these pastries or cookies?

They are scones, and I'm going with the dictionary definition that a scone is biscuit-like cake (American version of biscuit, which is not a cookie).
As for the aircraft category, it also says "or a book in which someone flies."

Thank you for the explanation, Heather. To complicate everything there is the fact that the Italian translation of cookies is biscotti...As for the other task, I found a book in which the MC and other characters move from one country to another and to do so they have to use a plane, so I should be fine.
