Oh, I missed the offer on the ebook! I completed my Fairy Tale already but this one looks great.
Did you decide on your February subgenre already? :)

Yeah! Let me know if The Iron Druid series is worth continuing. I'm a bit reluctant to start yet another long series, but I heard this one is finished now.

I think I read the first 5 Iron Druid novels plus some short stories. They're pretty good. Interesting world & characters. Fun dog too, an Irish wolf hound named Oberon. I quit reading them because they weren't available at my library, not because I didn't like them. By the time my library got them, I'd moved on.
I have really enjoyed this series. Enjoyable quick reads. I also really enjoy his secondary series from his dogs point of view.
I'm really looking forward to this read. Loved the first book and I love fantasy/dectective books.
How is the Magnus series... and Rick Riordan in general? I've always considered reading his stuff as I am a sucker for Mythology but I've never got around to it.

Actually, the first book was not bad but the second one was....just not very good. It was almost like Mr. Riordan used diversity in a poor attempt at a money grab. It came across as preachy and not very sincere. It did have it's good points. The humor was funny but over done and it got annoying after a while and there was some good action especially the ending. If you can overlook some of the criticisms you might enjoy it.

Read the first 50 pages of Throne of Jade and you'll be hooked. I just can't put it down.

Ah! That's actually the reason I'm holding off for now. I know that if I start reading it, I won't stop. Until I finish the series.
Therefore destroying my reading plans! :D

Yeah, I had to change my schedule a tad because of the library. But that's ok. I'm a little ahead in all my challenges. Been busy with caring for my mom but it gives me time to read a bit while sitting by her bedside.

Well, I am battling insurance to get my mother into a rehabilitation center. It is very frustrating. Mom, however, is holding her own.

Glad to hear your mom is okay for now. Navigating the healthcare industry takes so much time, energy and patience. You're doing great.

Thanks for the encouragement. Yes, it's tough but I'm not giving up.

It's great to hear your mom is holding up. You're being very strong for her, she's very lucky to have you.
Great news!! We got my mother into the Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center. Finally. It took exactly one month but it's worth it.
Oh wow, great news indeed! I'm happy for you both :)
You're daily reading about epic battles and dragons, the insurance company didn't stand a chance :p

I loved the Fever series! I found Mac annoying sometimes at the beginning but she grows so much throughout the series.

I thought she was a little annoying at first also. But soon she grew up, wised up and began to see things for what they are.
