This thread could also be called, "My Credit Card Was Feeling Lonely". What treasures have you scored?

I debated too, Janice. I don’t think the $4.95 deals are much of a deal and I wasn’t 100% on wanting the book, but I’ve liked his books in the past.
I've bought:The Travelling Cat Chronicles. I was supposed to buy another book, but then I saw this one. I have a thing for Japanese writers and a soft spot for cats, so I think this will be a match. Besides that, it has a beautiful cover and the story is really good. (reading it from the cover)
The Fourth Apprentice. I have the other 3 series and this is the first book of the 4the serie. I've read that Erin Hunter is writing the 6th series, but I'm buying them in the Dutch translation, so it will take a while to complete them. The translation of the next 3 books of the 4th series will be this year.

As if my credit card is ever lonely. :)
I just picked up Practical Magic on sale on Kindle. I read The Rules of Magic recently and really enjoyed it.
I bought:City of Circles
The Sparsholt Affair
(Foyles exclusive signed edition)Wideacre
The Templars: The Rise and Fall of God's Holy Warriors
(signed copy)
I was meeting with someone today in the city centre, but she was 30 minutes late. So I went to the nearby bookshop, and came out with The Good People.I have many books on my wishlist that are only available in hardcover when I add them, and then often I sort of forget about them. It's always a nice surprise when I go into a bookshop, recognize a title and it's a paperback!
That one looks good, Peggy. I look forward to seeing what you think of it. I still have Burial Rites from her to read. I just picked up The Almost Sisters on a Kindle deal.
Lol Mikaleigh, I think I once bought a book 3 times! Twice as an ebook and once as a paperback at a book fair. I ended up reading the paperback ;-)
@Kristie: the main reason I bought it is because I loved Burial Rites. If this new one was her first book I'm not sure I would have bought it. The blurb doesn't wow me.
I've double bought books several times, Mikaleigh. I usually end up donating one to the library. I really need to keep better track of what I already own.

Woohoo - live book club for next month is La Belle SauvageI've been looking for an excuse to buy that one ;-)

Is that a type of cabbage?

It's pretty blue too, (the cover).
I bought a couple of books by Australian authors for a challenge I am doing in the Aussie Readers group. They are both first-in-series. in the Science Fiction genre. Hero and Seeing Red. I also bought the last three books in the Akasha series for my Zodiac Challenge. Air, Fire, Earth. I already owned the first one, Water. They have very pretty covers.

I'm looking forward on your thoughts about the book. It's on my TBR - list too.
I bought Miguel Street
The Thing Around Your Neck and
Soul Music
I have one more book coming, and then I am not allowed to buy anything for at least 6 months.
I have a copy of Bleak House on the way. A friend recommended it to me, but I have to admit that I'm a bit intimidated by a classic book weighing in at over 1,000 pages.
I could do 6 months - of course that wouldn't include pre-orders, bargins, deals, book club books, group reads, challenge books, etc etc
Hahaha Margo!I got At the Water's Edge. It was in a daily deal email and I knew it was on my wishlist. After buying I read some reviews and now I wonder if it was a wise buy ;-)

Lol I love you guys!!! I may crack and sell some to my book dealer for credit. But I had a bit of a splurge the past month.
So happy with the audible uk daily deal today - All These Worlds. That's a series I need to get back to!
I bought The Chalk Man for my 2018 new release challenge.I had $8.00 left on my coupon with Audible. Since I got the coupon, the daily deals have not been all that exciting. Time is running out, so I decided to pick up the wispersync deals on 4 Kindle books I'd purchased last summer:
In the Blood
To the Grave
The Last Queen of England
The Lost Empress
These four aren't exactly new purchases since I already owned the Kindle editions.
Oh, that looks good, Janice. I just read Berit's review. I wonder if I can get on the list at my library yet. I love the black cover!
