Another person starting off the year with silly poems. Most excellent. I'm enjoying Ogden Nash's silliness and I hope you're enjoying your silly verses.
Well, I haven't got very far with the The Essential Rumi and now I've added Us to my list of books to read along with the collected Flashbulb Danger. Whether I get to complete any of them before the New Year is a debatable point as I've also acquired The Letters of Sylvia Plath Vol 2: 1956-1963 and there is quite a lot of it.So many books, so little time left in 2018
So true, so true.
I got bogged down in large volumes of poetry, one I gave up on and one I'm enjoying but don't expect to finish--well, maybe about this time next year. Around about August, I realized that I didn't have any shorter volumes at all, which resulted in pretty much a complete stall for me until this past week. *sigh*

It's good to know that I'm not alone. Thank you.
I've started volume II of the Plath letters, so that's me occupied until well after New Year. The quantity of poetry books read has not been high this year, but I have read some good books.
Well, I started 2018 by reading some humorous poetry and (thanks to Father Christmas) have ended 2018 by reading some more: I Could Pee on This: And Other Poems by Cats. a review will follow in due course and before we embrace 2019 (hopefully).

1. Southend Poetry 33 2017 (Anthology)
My first review, however, will be of Letters of Sylvia Plath: Volume 1
My next read will be
2. Relative Disasters: A Little Book of Silly Verse, which is not my normal reading matter, so we will see how things pan out.
I think I should try something a little more serious next time. I'm contemplating some Seamus Heaney...
3. Seeing Things
and after that I'm planning on reading...
4. The Blue Hour by Clare Crossman
Next I shall be trying something both classic and historical:
5. The Essential Rumi
Overtaken by more contemporary collections:
6. The Lammas Hireling
7. Black Country
8. The Letters of Sylvia Plath Volume II: 1956 – 1963
I still intend to finish the Rumi at some stage, however.
And ending 2018 on a humorous note:
9. I Could Pee on This: And Other Poems by Cats
