Maria Hill AKA MH Books (mariahilldublin) | 601 comments That's a brilliant idea. Like Ann Morgan, Sophie of Portal in the Pages is also doing the around the world challenge this year. So she may suggestions for some of the more unusual locations.

Andy (_btp) | 311 comments Mali - Book Smugglers of Timbuktu - 4 stars

fascinating- juxtaposes early European myths about the city and explorers efforts to reach it with modern tale of those struggling to protect historical documents from fundamentalists

Liberia - Journey Without Maps - 2 stars

inter-war colonial view of the region and country - did not get into much detail on this unique country
