I think she stands more chance of a contented future by going with her religious ideals. It has been her life for a while now and would be a major support for her as she carries on. It would be very sad if she chose Skye and then came to blame her later for making her lose her way.
Anne has always had a strong sense of self awareness. Her being blindsided by her love for Skye was a new situation for her to experience. I loved that she chose solitude for her reflection and Skye should have known she needed that. I agreed with Stephen that Anne not sharing the most impactful experience of her life (the school shooting) with Skye was telling.
I think she made the right decision only because she got there her way.

Thinking about it Skye was not the right person for Anne anyway. As you say she did not recognise Anne's need for alone time but just turned up unannounced. And she seemed quite bitter at the end. She just seemed a little too pushy.
Very. I wonder if she rushed her relationship with Anne, confusing her feelings about her own sexuality.
